I do agree, but Gina also picked up a load of new fans from it too.
The thing i meant about going the same way as Sallie, she was a controversial character and they seem to get voted out first, getting into that safehouse showed another side to her as she was pretty funny in there and with it being a big part of the show she gained a lot of support.

Gina is not going to go out of her way to impress anyone lol. Also it's better not to have too much of something right?

I quite like it like that though. I think the worst thing for Gina would be if she was at the centre of the show. The highlights are dominated by these 'stories' and 'narratives' and IMO not many people involved in those come out of it smelling of roses. Gina is doing fine. She seems to be enjoying herself and that's the main thing. That comes across on the show and in her DR visits and that's what people like about her more than anything i.e. when she's having a laugh and not taking herself too seriously.
