Who Should Britney Spears Collaborate With on Album 8?
SUPERSTAR Britney Spears is currently writing and recording her eighth studio album which is due for release towards the end of 2013. Hit maker Will.i.am will serve as Executive Producer for the album, and it is touted to be Britney's most personal album to date, as well as the overall sound being quite urban, more Hip Hop than Pop.
Now the question is will the album feature any collaborations with other artists, there have already been rumours of the likes of Will.i.am, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and even Lady GaGa however nothing has yet been confirmed. Personally I wouldn't like to see any of the above featuring on a Britney song, rather I think she should only collaborate with an artist to create a sound and energy that is unique and special and compliments Britney's own style and sound. Ideally I think for album number 8 I would love to see at least one of the following artists feature on a song with Britney... 1. Lana Del Ray (duet, a futuristic or haunting pop ballad produced by William Orbit) 2. Pharrell (featuring on a pop song that is catchy yet very soulful) 3. T.I. (featuring on a really cool urban track with thumping beats) Who would be YOUR ideal collaborations for Britney on her next album? |

Well the 2 that would get the most attention would be either J.T or Xtina. For obvious reasons.

1. Demi Lovato really progressing as one of the strongest Disney breakouts
2. Taylor Swift who wouldn't want the amazing Tay to team with Brit on one of the biggest singles of the year 3. Selena Gomez amazing talent who would match perfectly with Brit Breezy, Yeezy and Riri would make for strong collaborations too |

Urban again. So sick of everyone jumping on the urban bandwagon. Hell I'd rather Britney did a death metal album than an urban album!! I'm just so tired of the same old stale stuff/sounds saturating music today, especially with the overused autotuning on everything! Who should she collaborate with? In my opinion NO ONE! I'd love to have a Britney album featuring just Britney for a change! I'm so bored with all the endless "blah blah featuring so and so" collaborations so many do today, and no guest rent-a-rappers, please! I'd rather Britney record an album of Hungarian folk songs accompanied by a Mexican Mariachi band than same old same old urban by numbers cr*p! Do something different already!! Anything!!

It's funny before Femme Fetale it was a rarity for Britney to Collaborate i think there were 4 in total. Now she seems to be following the trend of rent a rappers and no names. It was better when she didn't as it had a bigger impact Madonna anyone. So unless they are of some stature not a disney reject, Rent A Rapper or bloody Taylor Swift i'd be quite pleased.

There's no one I particularly want her to collaborate with tbh. I like her as a solo artist.
I don't think she's followed the "rent a rapper" trend either. She only had two songs on FF with a feature, and neither were released as a single. I don't really count the TTWA remix as the song was already doing well before Nicki and Ke$ha were added. |

She worked with Pharell before it was popular, so I can't see it happening again. Justin or Christina would be horrible, as would the likes of Ke$ha, Selena Gomez etc.
Lana would be interesting. Britney, if given the choice herself, would probably choose Gwen Stefani. She's given that answer countless times when asked who she would like to duet with. |

Why is it that so many artists to-day need to collaborate with anyone?
If I buy into Britney (or any other singer for that matter) then I buy into Britney on her own, not Britney and Joe Bloggs or whoever.

What i love about Britney is she doesn't jump on the bandwagon with producers just because everyone else is. She normally works with producers who become popular after working with her
I would actually like for her not to work with Max Martin anymore, especially as his work with her is no longer reflecting maturity as Britney is aging. I want her to team with Danja again. Not because of i want a blackout 2.0, but because I love Urban britney. |

It seems incedibly normal to see at least one collaboration on pop albums now. I would love for her to release an album without any collaborations. I'm not a fan of them, to be honest. Quote:

I think that Britney's new music will sound fresh, she always has an ear for up and coming producers and genres, personally I don't want any collaborations, it's supposedly a personal album, so I want it to be all her tbh.

I would love Britney to do something similar to Rihanna ft. Micky Ekko - Stay.
A ballad with an (pretty much) unknown male. Failing that, I'd love to hear her team up with One Republic - something totally different & not expected! |

To date In The Zone is Britney's most personal & that had 2 collaborations.
With this new album i don't mind the same 2 collaborations. I'm hoping this is Britney's most personal & shes been writing loads so excited! |

She doesn't really do collabs though. She normally has one collab at most on a album (not every album though)
Although we know Wiz Khalifa will be on a song (I've no idea if it will be a feature or if he's working on a song in any other way like writing or producing?) Or if it will even make the final cut. |

Danja as a producer has produced some of Britney's best work in recent years therefore it would be criminal if he weren't part of her next. I totally agree that Britney doesn't need collaborations on her next, and actually I used to prefer it when she didn't do many at all (she still doesn't compared to other artists) however, I think it wouldn't do any harm if she did on her next just to add some flavour and mix it up a little. What I don't agree with is two popular artists jumping on a song together just for the sake of it to create buzz and interest. |

Alternatively, if the featured artist is someone who hasn't really made a name for themselves yet, collaborating with a big name is good exposure for them. |
