Toyah Re-issues Love Is The Law & More
direct from toyahwillcox.com it is a pleasure to announce the very pleasing and long-awaited release of some classic Toyah back catalogue on CD for the first time. Toyahwillcox.com talked to Safari Records before Christmas last year about issuing material currently unavailable on CD. After persuading, pleading and making a strong case for their release it looked like some catalogue titles were never going to be liberated from vinyl to compact disc. Low and behold, no sooner had we spoke. (well not quite but…)
The news that ALL Toyah fans have been waiting for: Warrior Rock: Toyah on Tour and Love is the Law will both be issued on CD in February! Love is the Law is Toyah’ s only studio album to have NEVER been released on CD whilst selections from Warrior Rock appeared on the 1998 Live & More compilation. Both CD releases are *tentatively* slated to also contain bonus tracks. (Online vendor play.com is listing Warrior Rock although this isn’t a 100% confirmed track list) We will be very shortly bringing you full details including confirmed release dates and track lists. We urge you to stay away from eBay bootlegs of these titles (rife at the moment) and support these official releases! We can also confirm two new live dates for Toyah in 2005 which are Hastings Beer Festival on 2nd July with band (line up still TBC – see Toyah’s webletter for more details) and a live PA to backing tape at Flamingo’s Club, Blackpool on 28th March. These are added to Toyah’s live date at the Wasted Festival 2005 on 21st May. More live dates are likely to be added throughout 2005 in addition to the first performances of the one-woman show, now to be titled ‘An Audience with Toyah Willcox’. The debut performance of this show was to have taken place very close to the Wasted Festival at the Arts Depot in Finchley but has now been moved, but we will bring you exact confirmed dates as soon as they are known. Lastly Toyah will have a new publication hitting shops on 18th March. Watch out for an exclusive announcement on toyahwillcox.com soon. |

Great news.
Thanks for that - it will be nice to see more than Anthem (or nothing) in the Toyah section in HMV et al. Note to self - save some pennies to make February CD purchases.
