Ever since 9 brought the show back in 2005 we have had hints of what happened durring the time war. 10 and 11 have also referenced it and their feelings about it. Especially when they got all moody and "dark". Suppose when bad things happen they kind of relive it. Doctor can't save every person or planet sadly. Think the 50th and the apperance of John Hurts "doctor" takes it back to the begining. We also know there will be scenes involving

.What I would like to know is how come Susan was the only person he could save ?. Its not like the tardis is short of space. Maybe by working with 10 11 will finally get some peace and closure. Only a few more months untill we find out. Hope they do release a trailer soon .

Did he save Susan? She has never appeared in the new series and there have only been minor references to her, none of which confirm that he rescued her.

I think the 50th might break the time lock, or at least, I hope it does. The whole "Last Of..." trope was never a great idea in my opinion. I want the occasional trip to Gallifrey or the rare appearance of a Time Lord or some Rani.

The "Last Of..." works for a while but eventually it becomes a heavy weight around the neck of whatever fiction employs it.

Never mind saving Susan, what was Susan even doing on Gallifrey? (yes I know she appears on big finish cds but you shouldn't make viewers have to hear their stories in order to understand what is happening in the tv stories).

Will they have a younger version of John Hurt's Doctor, if it is taken back to the beginning or will it be in reverse, starting with John Hurt's Doctor and then could he possibly turn into the Twelfth Doctor?

I'm hoping the 50th shows us the Time War and what happened and that 11 and 10 played a part in it. I also want to see the 8th Doctor regenerate and the regeneration (presumably of Hurt) into the 9th Doctor. That will round things off. Finally we can see exactly why the Time War devastated both the Doctor and the Universe so badly. I DO however want some resolution at the end of the episode (but not in regards to the Time War itself, I want to see that end in the story we know; that the Doctor destroyed Gallifrey and the Daleks and whatever else and the Time Lock put in place) in which 11 suddenly realises there is a way to release Gallifrey from the Time Lock and bring back the Time Lords (but not the ones who we saw in TEOT, or at least, the same ones but with the decision made that they DON'T want to lose their bodies) so that he is no longer the last. I think it'll bring in tonnes of new options story wise. Haven't we covered just about everything possible with the whole 'last of the Time Lords' thing anyway? Also, it'll mean Twelve will be COMPLETELY different to the previous three incarnations in that he won't have this overhanging guilt any longer and he'll actually be the happiest we've seen the Doctor in nuWho because he'll have almost reversed what happened during the Time War.
