I imagine it'll be around the #45 mark, and will drop to about #65 by Sunday...

Is she getting much radio airplay and has she done much tv promotion for the song? If not then I'm not surprised if it flops, if the general public don't get to hear it! It would be a shame as she's a very talented girl and the song is really catchy, I think.

It's to be expected, she's on her own label.

Kinda limited market as well...there's a million wispy/kooky female singer/songwriters around

She isnt really flopping tho for this record label. Compared to previous success she is, but Cinderella is still going to be So Recordings highest charting single, and i'm sure they'll be pleased.

Ahhh...so her appeal has become 'more selective'?

I'm not sure what you mean, but flopping means under performing, right? on a label like So, this single was never going to hit the top 20/30/40.

She has no one to blame but herself!
She left it far too long to release new music.
I, as a fan have lost interest in her & her music is bland lately (not liking the new sound at all)

It's a shame because I was obsessed with her.... Sadly her new material isn't up to scratch.

Never had Diana down as someone to have huge success anyway. Which is no criticism.
I still haven't heard any of her new stuff though

Exactly. Hitting the nail on the head there.

Her fans are raving about Cinderella and I cant see why.It never gets going, the chorus is flat/weak theres no hook nothing.Just a bland tune.

Cinderella is fairly weak compared to other leaked tracks and the video isn't to bad. She has been away for a while. I think she could have potentially done well if she'd returned last year with 'Kiss of A Bullet'.

Compared to her last album, yes.

For her label though, it will be their highest charting single so I'm sure they will be pleased.

The problem is obvious. She has took over THREE years to release a 2nd album. i was at one point just assuming she was dropped because she disappeared completely after the success of SFATCT which i dont understand why that happened.

In fairness to Diana though, artists cant win anymore. the likes of Rihanna, JLS, 1D etc have been slated for releasing an album every year but artists like Diana and Alexandra Burke take 2/3 years to work on an album and release it and still get slated but for taking time out so its a no win situation

The way Rihanna and the boy groups do it is definitely the better way, at least in 2013.

I don't know why they get criticized so much. I as counting the other day, there's an artist I like that's released over 40 songs so far this year (and he's got an album due later). Nobody is complaining about him, and that's way more music than what Rihanna puts out. I feel people on this forum only pay attention to a select few pop stars, but there's lots of artists out there releasing a new song of some sort every week, Rihanna releasing 12 songs a year via an album is no big deal imo.

I haven't heard Cinderella on the radio unfortunately. Alas I haven't seen her on any tv promos either so I fear she might not be so successful this time round.

She had an interview on This Morning and sang the song - don't know if she's appeared on anything else

It's a shame this even matters at all, it's so idiotic. music is music and the music wouldn't be any different if it was released 2 years ago.

How can you not be interested in someones music because they havn't released anything in years, you either like it or you don't.

She was on BBC Breakfast last week and sang it at the end stripped back, acoustic.
