Hey guys,

Just a heads up that the latest Google event is just about to start over at http://www.youtube.com/google

Android 4.3 and a new Nexus 7 are pretty much guaranteed but i'm sure there will be other stuff we didn't know about.

Hugo Barra pulled the 'new nexus 7' out of his back pocket. 7" tablets ftw.

Wasn't that just highest for 7 inch tablets?

Either way it's a great resolutions, I hope apps take advantage of it.

they quoted it as highest resolution on a 7" tablet and highest PPI on any tablet. Obv not as high resolution as the ipad 4/Nexus 10, but maybe beats them in PPI....

as for apps, support should already be there with Nexus 10 and the like.

It's funny the way they manipulated the stats on tablet sales
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget....13/07/zsh6.jpg
By splitting the PC sales.

It is sneaky but it still quite shocking that tablet sales make up 2/3 of pc sales.

Yeah sounds good as long as this is inexpensive but isn't this what Miracast is meant to do but with an open standard?

No idea how much it will be, but if it lets me view any online video rather than just youtube, and under 100, I'm in. Much nicer than mirroring from PC like I do at the moment.

I'm sold.

I'm an aviation nut and watch a lot of vids on youtube and hate trying to fart about mirroring laptop of phone to the telly.
