Love Me Like You was my favourite 00s song not to be my favourite song of the year.

They've gone acoustic, apparently.

I used to really like The Magic Numbers but I stopped paying attention to them, I guess. They had a really great vibe to them back in the day though. They didn't take themselves remotely seriously and put all their effort into fun, catchy songs. Their first two albums are just great.

I'm hoping to see them on the Isle of Wight in September.

The Pulse was one of my favourite songs last year (two years after it's release) so the potential to see that live in a chilled atmosphere with a beer sounds fantastic.

So they do still exist then! But you don't often hear them on the radio or being talked about much anymore, which is a shame. I really like their first album.

I just noticed that if you sign up to their Mailing List at themagicnumbers.net you get a free download of a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'Sad Eyes'. I'm not familiar with the original but TMN's version is very nice.
