WTF Producers? ANOTHER Night You've Ignored Gina

Okay, they've hardly ignored her and she did feature, but what the hell are the producers of this show doing by deliberately NOT showing moments which are favourable to Gina?

Omissions: there was her extremely funny quip to Dexter a few nights ago about him not bringing his 'game' into the House after he bragged that he can get any girl (something I actually told people to watch the highlights show for because it was a Classic one-liner). Then there was her song the next night. And last night there was a lengthy conversation with Sam, during-which he told Gina that she was the only housemate who lets him speak or actually perseveres in listening to him.

Okay, the latter was arguably Sam playing the sympathy card for the second night in a row, but even so, why was none of that shown?

I'm totally bemused now.

I wanted to hear Gina sing the song we voted on. Not even a mention of it, except a couple of nights ago on live feed when Callum said he enjoyed it. Why can't we see it or at least a video clip of it?

I wanted to see it too, just seems weird that they didn't show it which makes you wonder why they bothered asking that question on the poll.

PRODUCERS/ Ben Frow, can I ask what you are doing? Read through this forum and you'll find a growing number of Gina fans who are getting more and more annoyed that you're clearly editing against her now in the highlights show.

You are missing-out her tender moments, you have stopped showing any clip in-which she is smiling and like to paint her as po-faced, you are not showing other housemates praising her or Gina giving them her support, you didn't show it when she laughed out loud at the booby prizes (but you did show Sam laughing). It's all getting very transparent now.

I mean, there is even an accusation that you've just used footage on the highlights show from a previous day (she was wearing the same clothes) to make it look like Gina went into the DR again for another dig at Hazel. If true, that simply isn't on, storyline or not.

The baffling thing is, when it's a fact that the majority of fans currently want Gina to win, and second to her is Dexter (sorry, but your line-up was complete BS), why are you insistent on trying to push for Sam or Sophie to win? Is it out-of some kind of political correctness?

Again, you didn't show the full extent of Sam and Callum's letchy/ inappropriate behaviour during the spray-tanning process, and you aren't showing Sophie's bitchy and horrible comments either. Yet bizarrely, you do show these things to a *minority* audience on BBBOTS, and seem to forget that people can see what's really going-on on the live feed too.

I can't deny, I believe Gina or Dexter deserve to win so I am effectively a fan, and I want to stress that this is not a case of someone getting annoyed just because their favourite is losing popularity. There is no evidence that Gina is losing popularity, despite your best efforts. But are you running so scared of a predictable result that you need to try and bring her down?

Why not just go with public, or at the very least try and show us a more balanced view of the main contenders as the Final draws ever near?

Oh please, Gina has taken up 95% of almost of every show. How on earth can you say that because of a few one liners or a song that did not get into the HL's is a joke. Compared to the likes of Sophie and Sam she has been highlighted more than any other housemate. IMO. It is not the Gina show!

Yes, she has definitely featured lately, but look back a couple of weeks and it was a much more positive edit.

The live feed shows that her behaviour hasn't changed, but the highlights show is painting her as a different person now. I don't suppose any non-fan is going to be able to accept that, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

The thing is, you say she has too much airtime already, but when the crowds are chanting 'Gina, Gina, Gina' every week, it's not exactly unjustified.

Ah, you have to love a made up statistic!

I think Gina's coverage has settled down to average over the past few weeks. Callum, Dexter, Hazel and Charlie all get more airtime than her. I don't think this is a bad thing necessarily. She is shown enough to maintain her fan base.

They may not have shown much of Gina ...but...they are certainly showing the others in a bad light...both Hazel and Charlie came out looking pretty bad IMO

So maybe we should be complaining about the positive edit then instead of the 'poor' edit now.

Why is it that uber-fans thinks their fave should always be featured the most and always positively? The show would be even more of a mess than it is if the producers pandered to every fans whims.

To be honest I think you could say the same about any housemate. Those who watch LF and all the video's on the website are often bemused/peeved about things they found interesting or amusing being left out but that's just how it is.

Its not the Gina show, its about all of them, there have been lost of things by all HMs that haven't been on highlights as its about 46 mins

But you've seen them, on LF or videos on the website or BBOTS

Charlie and Hazel are bad.

Joe, I think the point I'm trying to make is, they aren't showing positive things for Gina (okay, fair enough you say), but they are also failing to show negative things about Sam and Sophie, the main contenders outside of Dexter.

Everyone else apart from those four is self-destructing, but of course fans of the other housemates are welcome to start similar threads moaning about their coverage. I justify this thread by pointing-out that Gina has about 40% support, so she is undoubtedly an important character in the game.

And why didn't she and Charlie take a part in the pun task?

OP - she was featured so many times in HL show, and another diary room rant about how much she hates Hazel - don't know what you saw , but she was in many of the group conversations (well, she just sat there staring) and when the others were running around in the rain, she's in background shots, not joining in, just sat there again - but she was there !

And how do you know they're not hiding positive things about them? Or, indeed, that they're not hiding negative things about Gina too? It seems to me that you're looking at things from a Gina-centric point of view.

And the reason why Gina has a big share of support is simple to me: it's because she's been given a positive edit and been treated favourably in the house by BB.

Hearditall, the original post in this thread was from a few nights ago; it wasn't about last night's show.

I just added a further rant (!) to it today because I note that plenty of other people feel the same way now.

Oh here we go again, she isn't the only one who get's moments left out of the show, they all get the same treatment.

Hazel and Charlie created Cucumbergate, not BB, they were looking for airtime, and they got airtime.

Also, if we're talking about HMs getting a fair crack of the whip from BB (rather than shamelessly promoting and protecting certain HM), then how do people feel about the relative treatment Dexter and Gina got in the safe house compared to Sam and Sophie and Dan?

Dexter and Gina were allowed to watch the house on camera, which, besides giving them a focal point for the viewers to watch, also gave them ammo - ammo which Gina's still using today. They were also immune from eviction that week.

Sam, Sophie, and Dan, on the other hand, had no opportunity to watch other HMs, and, instead of being immune from eviction, were automatically put up for eviction!

Do you think that was BB being fair, OP?
