Not sure but I can't see how she can avoid prison after this.
The same way she avoided prison after selling her poisoned vodka and abducting and pointing a shotgun in Chas' face. The Dingles will protect her.

Oh i agree it is about time she stopped acting spoilt and thinking that her family are at her peak and call ...

I wish they would be consistant with the writing for her , like you say held a good relationship with Andy and acually when he had his breakdown she was very supportive of him and he even thanked her for being so understanding given all that had gone on with her and Jo etc ..

Imagie what Andy would do if debbie's involvment came out ...he would take those kids , get full custody and that would be that i imagine ....
I have to say I'm finding it quite intriguing. So much for her, in terms of her freedom and her family, really comes down to what she does over the next few days. It's understandable that at the moment she's not thinking clearly, and I would imagine that the police would take that into account, but if she continues to withhold that information about Carl, and doesn't come forward with the truth about the crash (or as much as she knows of it) over the next few days she's digging a very big hole, especially if Cameron kills again in the meantime. Surely when

I am not worried about the police its the Dingles and Brenda i am thinking off , they would never forgive her and brenda could not live in the same village as her ....then there is Andy trying to take her children if she goes to prision ...

I honestly think only Chas will know of her involvment and i dont think anyone else will find out .....

So, to sum up, we seem pretty much agreed (except for one or two rather hard hearted people) that Debs has come through a very difficult situation with her reputation intact. The genuine concern for eavesdropper Gennie was a credit to her and I, for one, hope she goes from strength to strength after all of this. She's too good and has too much class for Cameron and he would do well to recognise that and disappear. A fresh start for her is exactly what she needs.

Absolutely. Finally, someone with a bit of compassion, like myself. So many issues on here.

yes, but she did cause the accident, and with the types of injuries Gennie had she might not have survived. I honestly think that it would be better for all concerned if she did to to prison for this. Not for murder but for causing the accident. It would be helpful for Nikhil and brenda, to know the full facts and to see her punished. Also, it would be a terrible and damaging secret for her (and perhaps Chas) to live with.

So basically you want her to get away with it, don't you?

No surprise, seeing as you're her joint number 1 fan on DS.

This!

Always the way when it comes to her (or her parents).

Maybe she will go to prision but could she ever return ? ...i dont think so and Andy would probably get full custody of the children ...

I think that Debbie is beyond redemption. Let’s be honest, she has learned from the master of evil, Cain! I’m still waiting for him to face up to all his disgusting behaviour of the past couple of years which culminated with his thrashing by Zac. He went to hospital, he rested there for a couple of weeks but he came out of there as revolting as he’d been before Zac battered him. And it will be the same with Debbie. After all, she has already been to jail after she and Jasmine killed the policeman. She nearly shot Chaz. She went behind Cameron’s back and had sex with Andy so that they could create a *yawn* saviour sibling for Sarah. Why didn’t they try harvesting eggs etc. They went to a hotel, she put the stockings on and chocs away! It was to all intents and purposes a straight forward seduction scene.
She spends most of her time being vile, confrontational and is frequently hypocritical. She is a chip off the old block when it comes to wanting/needing stuff. It’s high time that her family and friends stopped giving in to her all the time. She has to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around her needs and wants, far from it! She’s a lesson in how not to be a parent! With Cain and Charity for parents, she was never going to be a good girl and a little virgin, was she?

I think she could return. Zak and Cain made up eventually, the family (apart from Debbie and Charity)forgave Chas. She didn't murder Gennie. Chas might not be able to forgive her but I think the rest will. They love her very much even if they are harsh sometimes. The kids are a different issue though - family courts would surely prefer Andy over her at this point?

Yes but things are already tensed ...besides if she does confess she will have to do at least 2 years in prison if not longer .....and i dont think Charley Webb is taking a long break ...

Maybe they will use the same redeeming technique as they always use for Cain. The persons who have reasons to hate or resent Debbie will suddenly put themselves in dangerous situations and Debbie is going to rush to their rescue.

Yep i think so ....i think Cameron tries to kill Chas , Debbie rescues Chas and kills Cameron .....

I know people want Debbie's involvment to come out ....but in reality she would then have to go to prison for a few years ....and i dont think Charley is planning such a long break ....so they would have planned with Charley how it will pan out and Kate Oates said Charley was concerned about protecting her characters so viewers could invest in her in the future .....

I am not talking about Chas. I am talking about Brenda or Katie, who loved Gennie and will surely hate Debbie for causing Gennie's accident then lying about it.

I think Katie is leaving for a while so she may not be around ..
Brenda would kill Debbie for sure....but in reality she is sick and recovering from cancer ...and really would stand alone

Also not to forget Jai ....he is married to Debbie's mother ....she will be on her daughters side so this would no doubt cause friction between them
