Lovely photos Pashulty – they really brighten my Monday morning! I’m looking forward to seeing the show again in just over 2 weeks.
Thanks everyone for all the pics. It’s great to see how good both Pasha and Katya are looking after all the shows they have done. Do hope they tour again next year. |

I will try my best to do that, we'll deffo see the others who, as mentioned are sweethearts had good chats with all of them at Crawley, especially James who has a shared love of a Istanbul, just when I get near Pasha that I lose my cool! Haha
Not sure if Alex will be able to stand that long? Though guess we can stay in our seats a bit longer or something - thanks for advice xx Keep talking to him about that then sneak in at the back of the queue. Maybe there would be a spare seat in the foyer for Alex if she cannot stand for long? Just enjoy the show anyhow!![]() Thanks Pashulty for link to real lovely pictures. Another tour would be great indeed Libby.

I think this is the dance, Shona, but if it isn't at least we can still enjoy it.
![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt1J_zIxPG8 In fact, looking at their partnership, I'm beginning to hope that these two are paired professionally in the new series, although I realise that this is a purely personal view. |

Depends who Natalie will be paired with, maybe Brendan or maybe not. It's all a guessing game eh, but could keep us entertained for a while.

Yes, it's 'On the Floor'.
It's difficult to say why certain partnerships appeal more than others, isn't it? It's even harder to articulate the differences between the various dancers without appearing to be 'anti' some of them, but I think I mentally match all sorts of attributes including a sort of classiness as opposed to earthiness. Sometimes, according to the theme of a specific dance, i think opposite types go together best too. Yes, it is a fascinating subject.

Well, have you ever considered writing in your spare time? The next JK Rowling perhaps. Then when you're rich and famous and are asked on SCD, you could say on one condition I choose my pro partner. OK you need to give this some serious thought. |

No, I'm not a writer, but an avid reader. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to read all I want to. I love the English language, I suppose, and enjoy the challenge of choosing the right word without any chance of being misconstrued. I have hundreds of books (classics, poetry, literary criticism, biographies, art...) and read everywhere, as many a soggy bathwater-tainted tome will testify.
I have tried my hand at various types of writing (to no avail) and now would rather use my time reading. I agree with you that some dancers seem just to be going through the motions and not really feeling anything. That's one reason why I admire Pasha and why I said he's special and not a careerist dancer. His standards are high and he's kept up the quality of his dancing all through his lengthy tour. On pondering pro partnerships, to me Iveta has a certain elegance, even when dancing to more earthy choreography. Maybe Natalie does too. It's all subjective though. I wouldn't like to attract an argument, though I do love an intelligent debate. I also think dominance/equality/subservience have something to do with how we all see different partnerships, but that's another story... |

I especially like paragraph three.

My goodness, I can hardly believe it's been a week since I was watching Pasha and Katya in Inverness! It was an amazing night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, I think it was even better than last year in Aberdeen! Great atmosphere and the ladies who went up for a dance with Pasha were really into it and had a great time. The photo a couple of pages back was indeed from the Inverness night.
I was also very pleased to hear that Pasha is going to be back for Strictly this year. Wouldn't be the same without him
