No, I'm not a writer, but an avid reader. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to read all I want to. I love the English language, I suppose, and enjoy the challenge of choosing the right word without any chance of being misconstrued. I have hundreds of books (classics, poetry, literary criticism, biographies, art...) and read everywhere, as many a soggy bathwater-tainted tome will testify.
I have tried my hand at various types of writing (to no avail) and now would rather use my time reading.
I agree with you that some dancers seem just to be going through the motions and not really feeling anything. That's one reason why I admire Pasha and why I said he's special and not a careerist dancer. His standards are high and he's kept up the quality of his dancing all through his lengthy tour.
On pondering pro partnerships, to me Iveta has a certain elegance, even when dancing to more earthy choreography. Maybe Natalie does too. It's all subjective though. I wouldn't like to attract an argument, though I do love an intelligent debate. I also think dominance/equality/subservience have something to do with how we all see different partnerships, but that's another story...
