X Factor Australia 20 min Preview
Go over to The X Factor Australia Facebook Page, make you sure you've liked their page, and scroll down to the post where it says 'Click here for an exclusive preview'. The video is embedded onto a separate 'tab' of their Facebook page.
The preview, I assumed was just the beginning of the show. It includes a couple of contestants; one boy who in particular impressed the judges and the audience. There's also a segment I suppose you could call it, where Simon comes onto screen discussing the panel. He says how he loves the panel, speaks very fondly of Danni and Redfoo especially. Simon also opens the show, speaking from his LA office saying how it's a new series, a new panel and so on. Simon actually seemed quite involved considering it's the Australian version. Worryingly, he seems more involved with this than he has been with our X Factor since he ditched us. Having said that, I can imagine Simon to make a similar 'opening appearance' in our version's launch. We will see ![]() Not sure if I am going to like the Australian version or not. It seems to have adopted the same editing style of the US X Factor, which to me is almost too glossy. There's way too much focus on the panel. Speaking of the panel, they're not that impressive aside from Danni and potentially Redfoo. They do seem to have good chemistry together, but individually they do nothing for me, again, aside from Danni who I've liked since our X Factor . The X Factor UK for me is in a better league that any of the other shows. We always have decent contestants, consistently manage to produce stars, the editing is good, and we've always had, at the very least, an adequate panel. I suppose the birth of the baby has really got me all patriotic hahaha

X Factor Australia wiped the floor with the UK last year.
Angel, Bella, Samantha and Fortunate were all absolutely fantastic! |

Angel, Bella, Samantha and Fortunate were all absolutely fantastic! Sammis performances were like a tour. Fantastic stage design, costumes and choreograpgy. Shes just reached gold with her debut single which she also co-wrote,shes playing aussies popqueen Kylie Minogue in an upcoming INXS series, has tons of more projects coming up. So winning there actually means something. Lots of other acts are doing great as well. I also like how they dont make it so long. I prefer to see it all at once, you feel more connected. |

Samantha Jade can dance, sing great live, and has a GREAT look. IMO-She's the best X Factor winner I have seen in a while.

I find it hilarious that so many Australians are bashing Redfoo on that Facebook page.
He's the only one on the panel with a career. |

Jahmene, Ella, James... they were all amazing too. I think last year's X Factor was tainted because of the bad panel, and negative press. People can't deny that the talent was there. Ella, James, and Jahmene are some of the best 'artists' the show has introduced imo.
You had so much variety in it...I still don't understand why that series got so much negative press and comments from people...they were all so talented! XF Australia was dismal - I mean c'mon Angel was by far the best and she left by show 5 - no idea what the hell was going on there! There are 1000s of Sams. The Collective was dismal compared to the UK version boy bands who can actually sing. Bella was so pitchy and terrible in her performances (at one point she was compared to Florence - what the heck?) but then again there are so many Janet Devlin fans here, it's to be expected she would be popular here too. The Uk version trumped the Australian version by a mile. Also I'm of the unpopular opinion that Series 7's crew was one of the least talented pools of contestants and the only reason it got so popular was because of hype, press and characters. |

Yeah its definitely weird. I know she's Australian and everything, but I can't help but think she almost only belongs to our X Factor

I didn't think the premiere was as strong as last year's, but it was head and shoulders above the premiere of The Voice Australia this year.

I love how the show just called The Collective last year's "breakout success", completely ignoring the fact that Samantha Jade is comfortably the highest selling act from last year's show...

They mentioned Sammi as a X Factor "superstar" in the preview, along with Reece and Johnny.
