He doesn't just do it with Sam, he does it with other hms too. His body language is really odd - try muting him and just watch the body language and facial expressions.

People are entitled to their own opinions about the hms and if people find Callum's behaviour normal and natural that's fine. All I know is that if I met someone like Callum I'd avoid him like the plague.

I know he and Dexter have some animosity going but imo Callum's is verging on obsession and there is a threatening undertone to his comments about Dex.

Then you should know that dementia and demented are completely different things, I work with people with dementia but not people who are demented.

This forum does seem to be awash with people who feel they are sufficiently informed to label people as 'crazy', 'demented', 'at risk of breakdown'. Blimey, if he was all of these things he may be suitable for detention under the mental health act, which he is clearly not. Viewers need to get a grip. For example, Narcissism can be applied to nearly every housemate if you choose to look!!

He does that in the DR too, not just to Sam

Being good to Sam is Callum's only redeeming quality.

It's quite amusing how many people refuse to realise this and make it out to be another character flaw of his.

Some people are so wrapped up in their hatred for him they refuse to see any redeeming qualities whatsoever and will twist everything he says or does to suit their own agenda. Some of the comments I've seen on this forum and heard on BBBOTS are absolutely disgusting!

I can see that Callum clearly has some issue to address but, to me, his needing to be nice to everyone & to be liked & wanted, stems from huge insecurity & he just doesn't know how to handle it - he goes overboard - he over-compensates.
I feel sorry for him - he just wants to do what's right all the time but doesn't know how to & seems so completely lost. But he is harmless & not creepy.
BBBOTS have dropped the ridiculous Jackie-loving, but are now giving us a nightly Callum-bashing - & guests like Joe calling him a "serial killer" are awful.
I really hope that folk react against this & keep him in.
He's a great HM & I hope he survives Hazel, Twins, Dexter & Sophie.

Knowing BB this year, they'll probably lock Dex & Callum in the Safe House together without permission to mingle w/HMs and only let out to garden at separate times from others....

Callum is a disaster waiting to happen. Totally lost the plot.

editing can make anyone appear crazy/unhinged

hes gameplaying like the rest of them and charlie told him that his overly niceness is turning people off ... so hes being mr not so nice ...

just the usual exploits that bb housemates get upto.

if one edits dexter in a similar way .. he too would be coming across just as unhinged - weird.

He's not crazy... He's self obsessed! Everything about him comes from the same starting point! Himself!

I don't think he's nasty or mad or anything out of the ordinary!

I could delve further into the reasons but I'm bored of him!

He's socially inept/immature IMHO. He doesn't know how to have a socially acceptable mainstream conversation. That said, I prefer him a hundred times more than Dexter. I am in Callum's corner for sure.

I also really like the time he takes with Sam and the remarks about him talking to him oddly are misplaced. He is just one of the few who even cares to take the time to ensure Sam is included. Funny how Dexter is now attacking that relationship. He's observed the winners line and is now going to try be mates with Sam... mark my words!

Absolutely spot on with this. He's the sort of bloke I'd avoid too.

I would love BB to play some of Gollum/Cullums anti-Dexter dairy room rants out in a task. It only seems to be Dexters DR discussions that have been leaked into tasks so far... I'm sure the men in white coats must be on red alert

Exactly! Sam has said that he sometimes feels left out of things because he loses track of the conversations. Callum (& Gina to a lesser degree) try to speak clearly to Sam. Sophie is awful, she turns her back on Sam whilst speaking to him & then moans that he doesn't join in!

It's a tricky one. At firsti thought be was fine, then I thought he was Jack Torrance, then I just thought he was a loser, then I began to think his behaviour was a sign of being lonely in his life and that perhaps he had responsibility for looking after a person who isn't well.
I began to like him because he was being targeted by Dan and Hazel, and it's seemed groundless.
I still think he's harmless now, but I do think he doesn't need to stay in there much longer. For his own good mental health.

I look after someone with Dementia, and trust me, he is not demented. Nor is he weird, scarey, mentally unstable etc.

He is trying to grab camera time in any way he can and is making a fool of himself.
