Google Maps on iPad is brilliant except for one thing - finding instructions.

Using it last night, I went into satellite view, and then spent 15 minutes trying to get to map view. Eventually, by accident, I found that the 'Satellite' button on the menu is actually a toggle - just tap it again to get back.

The 'Help' provided I find incomprehensible, and much of it seems to refer to the iPhone version, where I believe there's a menu along the bottom.

So is there, somewhere, a nice understandable set of instructions?

Incidentally, I found satellite view, even on the iPad Mini, far clearer and sharper than on my laptop.

I've got to agree. Its not very intuitive. I couldn't find out how to get to Street view without help from someone on here.

I know - that took me a while. Then you have to get out of it again.
