She actually does have a strong personality, she's also direct and has a no nonsense approach to giving her view. So why has she been such a non-housemate?

She has a plan to sit back quietly and let the big characters slog it out then perk up at the end. It's worked before.

The cruel answer: cos she's a fick Essex girl and a sheep.

The nice answer: because she's not very bright, is easily led, poorly educated, and has nothing of interest to say.

I prefer the nice answer.

She's 'fik'.

She does not do 'anythink'.

She's harmless enough, but i would'nt like to see her win. She's trying to stay under the radar.

She has had nothing to say of interest, neither has Sam - hence, their absence from the highlights.

Sam has been overwhelmed, due to his disability - but Sophie has purposely kept a low profile, character wise.

She also has a relationship, outside the house & has kept her clothes on & not flaunted it for the cameras....

When the Sam issue came up she said that she sympathised because her boyfriend has a disability. That's quite interesting.

It is sad in away that her and Sam have just not been themselves, they are just cruising under the radar to the final:yawn::yawn:.....

sophie is just an inanimate object in that house.
the fact that the biggest character this year got evicted over her is a travesty.
but i guess thats the voting system....

Much bigger characters and selective editing.

When her time comes to get the boot BB are going to have trouble finding two or three minutes of her best bits

To me, it seemed she tried to be the next Jade Goody but failed.

Or she was at least chosen for that reason - same area, same occupation, she's 'fick'...

She has been very cautious throughout. Overpowered by big characters like Sallie and unsure of who to relate to. Who is she mates with? I think the twins are the people she gets on with best. I guess we would have seen more of her if there was a woman in the house similar to her she could enjoy herself with but Gina, Charlie and Hazel are very different from her.

No, she really didn't. She seems a calm, balanced person and comfortable with herself.

The truth is that BB very obviously edits for 'stories' these days, far more than they used to. Sophie, who does not lose her temper and pick fights and was not going to flirt, has no 'story'. So BB were never interested in her. She has never been given a good task - compare Gina's knife throwing or the twins' two comic tasks or Dan's detective task with Sophie's rubbish tasks: pull a face at Sophie! Sophie gets asked four feeble riddles! And compare the endless drama BB GAVE to Dexter and Gina during their safe house week - special tasks, secrets, watching nominations, room service treats, setting tasks for the house - with the no drama or even interest at all they took in Sophie and Sam's week. Have some pasta on a tray that is good enough for Sophie.

If Sophie and Sam had been given all the drama, it would have been interesting and revealing to see how they had dealt with it: how they would have allocated the tasks, what treats they would have chosen, what they would have said about the nominations, how they would have coped with the budget shopping task etc. But BB could not have been less interested in showing us what Sophie and Sam are like under pressure, or in an overtly dramatic situation. In effect, like almost the whole cast of CBB11, they have been edited out of the whole series.

People consistently underestimate to what extent 'doing something' and creating drama is something given by BB and is not intrinsic to the person.

The "younger" housemates have been pretty isolated this year in general - Sophie's only really got the Twins (who already have each otehr) and Sam (who doesn't get on with her) in her demographics, so she's always going to have been a bit lost in this cast. In a BB8 or a BB12, she would have been better off.

She's not really Jade-like at all and I don't think she's tried to be - Jade was extremely emotionally open and vulnerable, while Sophie's completely closed off.

personality ?

there's been too many huge characters in there, so she's failed to make an impact, she may now, but she's bit transparent, nice enough, and she plods along, but she's not eccentric enough to make waves and keep the attention of the cameras ,,,,

This is a very good point. Sophie is a cautious person but in a different mix of personalities she might have been more lively.

dont' think Sophie's tried to be anyone, she's gone in being herself - she's a tough young lady, and she may have ticked boxes like the others did so they had a diverse group, but that's what they do every year.

BB are suckers for a thicky. Expecting them to be great housemates is sometimes asking too much.
