Diana & Poisonous Twins
*standing ovation* Wow! That was actually stunning. That song suited you both so well and you complement each other so well. Sky Ferreira matches Diana’s quirky vocal perfectly and I could imagine her singing this wherever. Though this suited the Poisonous Twins less so, they have an equally quirky vocal style and it played to that. I really enjoyed this. As I said - this was STUNNING. Sorry but I have to just get up for that! |

Diana Vickers & Poisonous Twin
Ladies, what a way to open the show tonight! This particular song blended your styles really well if I say so myself. The slightly breathy vocals Diana has to complement her pop style plus Poisonous Twin's attitude and style worked amazingly well. It was a bit of a risk, but I think it paid off as the three of you provided us with an amazing performance. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next, well done! |

Diana Vickers & Poisonous Twin
Hey there girls, well done for opening the show tonight. I thought that this was a very interesting performance. However, I was able to figure out one factor and I believe that this song was much more suited to Poisonous Twin who got stuck into the song than Diana who I believe was way out of her depth with this one. An energetic performance from the Twins but not so great for you Diana and I hope you can get it back later, cause I'm worried for you. |

Diana and Poisonous Twin
GIRLS that was just incredible. That was a perfect duet, and me and Rick decided you 2 would work together because we knew it would be great, and it was. Poisonous Twin, I have loved you from tonight, and tonight I love you even more. I have loved working with you, and this song was perfect for you. Fun, but serious, and your vocals were great tonight so well done. Diana, you were just sensational. We picked this song because the voice sounds different at parts, so it suits you more Diana....you were just sensational and you were both amazing when your voices blended. I can`t wait for your ballad ow ladies!!! |

Daniel and Brad
Boys or men......that was a great duet. Your mentor obviously worked really hard with you this week, because pop doesn`t suit either of you at all, but you really pulled it off. The vocals suited both of you, and the lyric division was great for you guys. What I loved about it was neither of you outshone the other. Daniel you have improved so much, and this is your best to date, with great vocals. Brad you topped the vote last week because you were amazing, and again you were great this week. A great duet. Well done Steve!!! |

Brad Shackleton & Daniel Pearce
Wow lots of harmonizing here and I loved that. I wasn’t too keen on the song and it did play a lot more to Daniel rather than Brad’s lovely husky vocal. But I really did like the harmonizing Sop. And your mentor did a good job actually finding a pop song for you guys because I can understand it must be difficult to find a suitable pop tune for Brad. However, though I thought Brad stole the show last show, I think Daniel edged for me slightly today in this performance. A bit one-sided I thought to Daniel. <3 you too Ricky. ![]() Awww penguin... |

Ah, the two male overs are teaming up I see. Guys, this was a good performance from you two. Brad, you've been named a frontrunner by more than a few people. Daniel, you've recently proven why you're still in this competition following a few low placings early on. All in all, I believe you did the song justice. Your vocals blended well, with neither act really having an edge over the other in my opinion. Well done, I'm sure we'll be in for one stunner of a ballad from you later on tonight! |

Ladies and gents, something totally unexpected and wild! Putting you two together was a stroke of genius, so we needed to take advantage of that. I stumbled upon this song by accident would you believe and it made me think of you both but not in that way, do you hear me?! You were fantastic with the song and you got the audience going crazy for you. even if they didn't enjoy this performance, they will definitely LOVE what we have ready for later. |

Loads of praise there for Steve and his 'men' as Pingu says! Will this translate into votes? Next up we have two girlbands, will they both get praise?

Lucy and Belle Amie
Girls your duet was the one me and Rick were dreading because you don`t really suit each other, but you really pulled it off. Lucy you were like the extra member of Belle Amie, and the vocals suited you greatly, and you were incredible on the stage Mrs.Spraggan, and your harmonies. Belle Amie you were incredible also, with great vocals and harmonies from all of you. Your duet was just amazing, and I couldn`t be prouder. I cannot wait for your next song to sing together!!! Jade and Suzie Girls you are just the perfect duet for each other. The moment I saw we were doing duets, I knew that you would be amazing against each other. Suzie, you were in the bottom last week after a poor song choice, but me and Steve have just brought you back into the competition. You had fun, but still your vocals were amazing. Now on to Jade....No words my honey. You were just incredible. Your voice was perfect, and your vocals were on point, but when you and Suzie sang together in a harmony, magic happened. And if you thought that was good people, then you should be jumping on your feet for the ballad!!! |

Lucy Spraggan & Belle Amie
Ok I can see what Rick was saying about taking a chance. I mean the song is great and full of energy but I don’t think it suited Lucy at all. Lucy’s got a particular accented vocal and what I’ve enjoyed about Pingu’s mentoring is that he’s brought that out of her on previous occasions. This time not so much. No Spraggan effect for me. On the other hand this was a very suitable song for Belle Amie…you have that particular accent. It did feel a bit one-sided for me, but again Lucy trying to duet with anyone is going to be difficult... Jade Ellis & Suzie Furlonger I have to commend how suitable this was for Jade. Pingu’s got 3 girls with very distinct vocals so choosing songs for them is always going to be a chore and I think he got it right with this one. Suzie’s part was also good but less so than Jade’s. The problem is that the song itself didn’t play to having harmonies; it left a bit too much to the imagination considering we’ve never heard Jade and Suzie duet together. The performance didn’t really go anywhere for me especially in terms of range and I know Suzie is capable of so much more, and it was bit too dancey for a pop theme…I know Steve's taking a dance pop route with Suzie but maybe it would have been better to show off that beautiful range she has but I still thought it was a funky, daring choice for the both of you. And I expect we'll be hearing Suzie's more elaborate vocals in the ballad. |

Belle Amie & Lucy Spraggan
Let me be honest for a second here, finding songs for you two wasn't the easiest job as you were essentially the two 'leftover' contestants when we were making duos. However, I really liked this song from you. It allowed Lucy's style to shine through, while avoiding having Belle Amie under-perform in the vocal department. Belle Amie may have delivered vocally superior performances in the past, but this was a great effort and above all else a very good compromise between the styles of the two duet partners. Neither of them was thrown under the bus, I hope it stays that way for the second performance girls. Suzie Furlonger & Jade Ellis Hmmmm, I'm on the fence about this performance ladies. On the one hand the vocals fitted you well, especially Suzie. On the other hand, while the style fitted Suzie, but I couldn't really see it working for Jade that well. However, my main problem with this song is that I think the song itself isn't a very good song. It was very bland, repetitive and just didn't really go anywhere. I've loved both of you in the past, but you're going to have to pull it out of the bag with your second performance tonight if you want to impress me. |

Lucy Spraggan & Belle Amie
Wow girls...I am very impressed. First of all, I know that Rick and Pingu were worried about this paring but in my eyes, with that song choice...it was GENIUS! The verses with you singing those parts was amazing and along with Lucy's style, I found it to be a very enjoying performance, well done girls, can't wait for your second song. Suzie Furlonger & Jade Ellis Suzie, we were given a second chance so we decided to team you and Jade up and I chose this song if that wasn't a surprise already. This song gave you both a chance to really show off your voices and you did exactly just that! If you folks weren't keen on the nostalgia method, but we have a second song coming up and Pingu and I have a great feeling about it. |
