Sam has stayed loyal to Callum even though all the rest bad mouth him.plus he was the only one to draw the other HMs whereas they drew themselves so it was not me me with him.
For someone who is almost stone deaf he has participated in everything thrown at him.
He may not have had many highlights but deserves respect for trying his best.
I for one hope he makes the final.

Such a nice change to see a thread that is not complaining or slating Sam. He is the most sincere person in there. He sees something in Callum that all the rest don't. He realises this could be a downfall, guilty by association but Sam goes with his heart. I also hope he makes it to the final.

I agree.

He takes part and tries his best in all the tasks. He seems like a nice guy and his jokes make me laugh. I like him.

Nice to see some support for him.
People seem to forget how hard it is for him,

Don't get me wrong, I like him and he's a nice guy but I think the only reason he sticks with Callum is because he hasn't got anyone else to go to.

I don't dislike Sam - he seems a nice lad who at times feels a bit detached from the other hms.

I know he's close to Callum but I like the fact that when Callum is droning on about Dexter and coming out with some nasty comments, Sam does challenge him - the boy has his own opinions. Unfortunately Callum just continues to talk over him to get his point across rather than listen to Sam's.

he's not a great mixer, but I think that's just the way he is, and there are very overpowering HMs in there this year, that might be why. But did you know Sam was on Deal or No Deal, that takes some confidence, so he's definitely no wall flower to have done that, perhaps we'll see more of Sam over the coming days as the HMs numbers go down -

That picture was hilarious. Dexter kissing Charlie's arse...he he!

I love Sam. He has a cheeky sense of humour, but he is still a very young man.

Plus, I fancy him a bit.

He's an amazing guy. Just not BB material.

Gina has stayed loyal to Callum too. She told everyone he was genuine and nice when she came out the SH and hasn't said different since!

He's just a normal lad, not BB winner material but nice enough. He's got a beautiful smile, the type that animates his whole face, maybe enough for young lasses to vote for him but not the hardcore BB fans.

I'm a Sam fan too. It must have been difficult early on for him when everyone was talking at once. Now that the house is getting smaller of housemates, I think he will shine as there are less hms and he may not feel so excluded.

A lovely easy going chap

Is it possible to have a thread about Sam where this ISN'T said? People didn't keep saying the same when blind Mikey was in the House, did they?

If it's difficult for Sam, too difficult perhaps, then he shouldn't have applied. I don't want to watch Big Brother and have to make allowances all the time, otherwise I'd have to make allowances for character traits too in the interests of fairness i.e. that Wolfy was a deluded bullshitter, so she couldn't help it.

Like I've said on a number of occasions, when the show started Sam/ his family/ his colleagues etc were painting him as a funny guy who delves into things and is the life and soul of the party. If that's the case, he doesn't need people going 'Aww, the poor lad, no-one gives him a chance' every five minutes. The real truth is that he's not the big and amusing character he thought he was.

As people have said above: he's a nice guy, but a lacklustre BB housemate, and it's nothing to do with his deafness. All these excuses bring out the worst in me though!
