Hello everyone.

This is my first post this series (I think). I wanted to get something off my chest about last nights episode that I just caught up on.

Despite enjoying watching Dexter, when he accused Callum of treating Sam like a child in convo with Gina. I thought he came across extremely nasty. I think its clear that Callum enunciates and for Sam as he knows he finds it difficult to understand sometimes. Which to me means one of the following.

1 - Dexter is showing extreme ignorance in the difference between "supportive" and patronising, or
2 - He knows damn well he's being helpful but is using it to slander him.

Am I alone in my opinion? Did anyone else pick up on this?

interested to see how others saw it.

Thanks

It was taken out of context IMO. On the live feed Callum was lying to Sam, saying that Sam received no boos (because Sam can't hear the crowd) despite the other HMs later saying there was a few and even a 'get Sam out' chant. Sam was pretty upset that Callum didn't tell him the truth and I guess it could be seen as Callum being overly protective as if Sam was his own child.

Watch this first. It's 36minutes long, you can start at about 2mins, then you get the full context of what Dexter was on about

Callum tries to do his best, I guess. He thinks that he's a pillar of strength in the house. He almost has to believe that, because what's the alternative, as a narrative? That he's a depressing idiot nobody likes? He'd rather not embrace that, so he tries to over-compensate by being a sort of step-father/uncle/elder brother figure to Sam. Sadly, however, because Callum isn't quite right in the head, and because he'll be voted of the show long before Sam is, Callum might be better off, for everyone's sake, keeping his 'thoughts' to himself.

I do agree with you actually, and I think that Callum needs Sam more than Sam does him. However I thought that Dexter's summary of the whole thing was a bit too "attacking for the sake of it" rather than being an actual analysis of his character.

Either way, I think both have some hidden demons.

Grow up?? WTF!

Some people think this forum should be in the same serious level as Question Time.

Was edited totally out of context. Given the rest of the night (which was shown on LF) I definitely agree with Dexter. Was quite pissed off tbh with how they edited that, they even missed out Sam being mad at Callum for lying to him.

Same, the whole of the LF basically that night involved Sam being annoyed about being lied to etc. Comes to the HL's and Sam's not shown at all.
I'm not sure what BB's motives are. Do they just not want to show anything about Sam. Do they not want to show Callum lying to him (which doesn't add up as they seem to enjoy ripping him to shreds the rest of the time)?

They seem to have something against showing Sam..(last night aside) he is usually quite interesting on the LF but we never see him on the highlights. Had they shown how annoyed Sam was about the whole thing, and more of what actually happened, it would have changed the meaning of what Dex said completely. And would actually have given Sam a bit of airtime too.

I did watch the clip. Though Dexter wasn't part of the conversation so I don't think he was referring to that was he?

Aren't the producers are just bored with Sam, by now? If he were to saw his own cock off, live on C5, wouldn't even that seem a bit 'too little, too late'? Let's face it, nice guy though he might be, or not, he's done nothing to invite the coverage.

Do they not want to show Callum lying to him (which doesn't add up as they seem to enjoy ripping him to shreds the rest of the time)?
Creepy psycho stalker sex pest Callum makes a fool of himself 24/7 perfectly well on his own. Do Endemol really need to drag anyone else into the ink black comedy bloodbath that's been Callum's BB experience so far?
