Callum - the weight of the world on his shoulders

His self pity act is relentless.

Poor dude everyone is against him

I must admit I do feel quite sad for Callum sometimes. He's obviously painfully in lust with Charlie, who knowingly or not - I don't think it's deliberate - is leading him on. As Hazel said, there's no way they can escape this situation until one of them goes. Add to that the constant accusations of trying too hard, or being too nice and I can't help thinking he'll be immensely relieved when this is over.

I really WANT to like him, then he goes and does 'deep' all over again and I feel queasy again

I like him. His painting was very true and reflective of his time in the house.

I think it's all an act.

It's like he's deliberately setting himself apart from the others with some wacky routines to give him more of a chance of winning.

The woe is me routine is merely another milestone along that tunnel he sees light at the end of.

I think Callum's effort was the most honest and heartfelt.

The weight of the world?!?!?!?

I can't decide whether that statement illustrates his self-importance or his manipulative side. He lied on his VT, and people are wary of him because of that, how does that equate to the "weight of the world"? He needs some perspective. Or, he was trying to draw in sympathy.

If he does feel that badly, he still needs some perspective.

I liked his painting, showed great wisdom. Some people can't always express their emotions by words alone.

Charles Atlas ... died in 1972.
Invented the Charles Atlas Method of 'Dynamic Tension' bodybuilding programme. The young Arnold Schwarzenneger appeared on one of the famous Atlas adverts that were on the back page of just about all US comics in the 60s and 70s, when he won Mr Universe or something.
That's enough being sensible for one day ...
