I'm glad young people don't aspire to this. I'm not a Gina fan, but she shows great loyalty to her boyfriend, she is polite, she doesn't go around saying '**** this' all the time, she mediates, and if these are the traits young people think are valuable then great.”
First, he had told her he didn't have a girlfriend. In that case, all bets are off. Not the most savoury behaviour on national TV, but women have needs and urges too.
Secondly, she's shown incredible strength and resilience; independence and ambition. All of these are admirable - much more admirable than sneering about the brand of someone's clothes, glorying in spending offensive amounts of money on shoes and boasting about not working for a living.
Thirdly, she showed a whole range of emotions tonight. She was probably the most genuinely affected after the letters from home. Because she wasn't moaning in paroxysms of grief, this subtle but very genuine demonstration of emotion may have been missed by some viewers. Then we also saw her truly happy and carefree and fun-loving in the garden. Then we saw her angry and upset at Charlie's rampant dose of foot in mouth.
Fourthly, Gina's tends to prefer co*ksuckers, I'll give you that.
