Hazel isn't a person. Hazel is a brand. A plastic product. The Aggressor and the Victim. A carefully crafted, 'evil' scheme. Secrets and lies, secrets and lies...ad nauseam.

Imo, Hazel ranks as one of the most undignified and spiteful HMs ever. Amongst other things, her level of maturity includes pulling Daley's pants down, shoving a cucumber in Charlie's mouth, responding to questions by BB in a manner that reflects negatively on other HMs, hogging airtime, deflecting and minimising responsibility for her actions, etc., ...and to think that Charlie reassured her regarding the letter from home. Hazel is a nice piece of work.

interesting. I think she's not walking because if she did it would look like she had done something wrong and was conceding to it if didn't walk out and face the baying mob (which would prob pref it and confirm their thoughts of her). Just my opinion, sorry if it has already been said.

She is a person. She might be all those other things you have described her as, but she is still a person. Dislike her all you want but don't bring yourself down so low as to not recognise she is a person.

I'm glad young people don't aspire to this. I'm not a Gina fan, but she shows great loyalty to her boyfriend, she is polite, she doesn't go around saying '**** this' all the time, she mediates, and if these are the traits young people think are valuable then great.”

All of this!

Having not read any of the afore-mentioned replies, I have to say that Hazel's mental resolve has impressed me, there's no getting past that.

For me, Hazel has a rock solid view of who & what she is.

She has had no real reason to adjust this - even accounting for the so-called "Daley incident" (not that I think she has, but some people have slated her for that).

She has taken the criticism from her so-called bestie Dan - which was surely extremely hard to hear, without any backchat. She moreover has endured the mostly non-verbal disillusionment/suspicion/distrust following the Daley Fiasco, and moved on from that.

Hazel may not be a favourite of mine, but her mental strength/resolve is not in question for me.

I can't stand Hazel, but to me she comes across very strong. I don't have an issue with that. Good for her. I just don't like her for other reasons!!!

I think I'd say more emotionally detached and very self-assured than mentally strong. If you are capable of maintaining a distance from other people, and can survive without developing the usual loyalties and bonds most people do in a situ such as BB, then you'll probably appear quite 'strong'.

However, she has shown signs of weakness when she doesn't get her own way. Not that she demonstrates it in a teary need a cuddle kind of way - but she does get pretty angry, her eyes flash and she has got herself in a few verbal situations where she has lost control.

Credit to her for how she handled the Daley thing initially, I think that took a good deal of strength. Certainly she is more self-controlled than many a HM. But not sure 'mentally strong' is the right words for it....

I couldn't disagree more strongly. Hazel/Dan is the only genuine friendship out of this series.

Yep you're completely right and Hazel isn't mentally strong anyway, she's just a cold fish.

Hazel is the kind of person most wish they were and attack her because they quite honest never will be and her looks alone get her brickbats. Love the Hazel a BB legend stayed strong after a nasty incident and jealous gang bullying and mob haters on the outside and Emma's misogynist comment and bb bringing on a so called gf of the removed person not asking his ex wife about that relationship now that would have helped the viewers see Daley.
