Regular bloke with issues and quite complicated although intelligent but difficult to fathom out at times.

All these things make him a good housemates.

However his complications are probably what people are not liking as lot of people like their housemates quite basic and simple

Only the last week in my opinion - and I will be voting on the most entertaining housemate of the entire series (Gina/Dexter).. however if he stays in there is a slim chance he could become the dark horse... I've just got a feeling he is going to blow it if he keeps gunning for Dexter...

Aw I like Callum, and although he's cringeworthy at times I wouldn't be disappointed if he went on to win (unlikely I know). You watch, now I've said that hell go on a mad rampage through the house jabbing at fellow HMs with a variety of fruit and veg.

But should come with a Fellas don't try this at home warning. For the reasons in your first line he would be an impossible boyfriend. If he slept with 200 women he must have access to ether.

You're right OP and of course the reason is that we are always kept guessing. Is he actually mental? Is he really loud or vulnerable? Which is the lie? A bit annoying, but interesting all the same.

I think Callum is a nice bloke, but sometimes he comes across as really creepy e.g. cuddling the twins . But he is a fascinating housemate. Wouldn't want him to win but would like him to reach the final.

Proportionately he gets more than above the number of threads about him. I guess this points a lot to a housemate not understood.

He's only been good value since his hand was forced, after trying to coast his way through with his pretend nice guy persona. If he'd been mental Callum and proud from the start, I might have warmed to him.

I agree, and I also think a lot of people like their HMs to be as faultless as possible - smart and articulate, calm and reasonable, level-headed and on the button during an argument and knowingly witty and charismatic. A ready-made celeb.

I prefer them like Callum - an unqualified mess of emotions and contradictions, flaws and faults, insecurities and surprises. Much more human.

I find both Callum and Dexter intriguing because I cannot work out their game plan as they change like chameleons all the time.......
