I reckon there's a distrust of Hazel over the Daley ejection, the house has never heard Daley's side and Hazel has never spoken about it.

The trouble with this is it became a problem when Hazel accuses Charlie of being 'aggressive' - the exact same reason that the house understands led to Daley's expulsion.

This to me was a pretty much inevitable situation because without a more detailed explanation about Daley then there is always going to be a real suspicion of Hazel. I understand why she felt it right to keep quiet but they know the public hate her for some reason that they can't work out and its fuelled the fire.

What is there to say from Daley? He is still in denial angry at Hazel for dizrizpektin im. When they see the shocking behaviour from him that led to his attack they may change their tune if not then they are seriously worrying.

But how on earth would they know that Belinda! They are not mind readers but yet they hear the boos every week....

That makes sense. None of them can work out why she was voted biggest snake (well maybe except Gina & Dexter) and why she is so hated outside, and they are putting 2+2 together and getting 5.
Who's to blame, no one really, yes I understand why Hazel didn't say tell them everything about that night, and I can understand the house wondering if that has anything to do with how much she's disliked

Cucumbergate revealed:

1. Hazel is a liar and seemingly hell bent on accusing people of being aggressive towards her.

2. Charlie is a pest when drunk.

All cucumbergate revealed to me is that cucumbers are best thinly sliced or cut into crudities and one should not attempt to consume them whole.

What Cucumbergate really revealed

...is that Charlie and Hazel never were really friends at all To fall out over this is ridiculous but Hazel wants to play the victim and rinse this forever.

Good thread. Hazel had good reason to be worried. Her so called friends are snakes in the grass, all except Dan who is sadly departed.

I can well see your point......

That's a good point. I remember an odd conversation several weeks ago where Hazel whispered to Dan and she insinuated she didn't like Charlie. I never really understood why she befriended her after that.

Hazel hasn't accused anyone of being aggressive towards her.

She said Charlie was a bit aggressive (with the cucumber), she hasn't said it about anyone else.

Exactly! The HMs can't be blamed for being suspicious of Hazel, they have only heard her side of the story and must be wondering what on earth actually happened to make Hazel so massively unpopular with the public.

This isn't anything to do with teh right and wrong of what Hazel and Daley actually did, but hearing her booed so relentlessly and finding out she's regarded as a snake and is the most unpopular in the house, they will wonder what the reason for it is and the whole Daley situation will be at the forefront of their minds when considering her unpopularity.

I agree OP. To be fair to Hazel she cannot win on this Daley business - she would either seem to be seeking pity (and viewer votes) or hiding that she is really to blame. For the other HMs there are the boos and Hazel's ranking position suggesting the latter is possible and that viewers know something they don't.
I think the twin's reaction to Charlie mentioning Daley was "Oh no - she's said the unmentionable!"
The calculating HMs know that what they say to Hazel on this (or to others) might cause them to sink or swim.

I can't believe that anyone who has watched the same show as me would suggest that HAZEL was trying to make a bigger thing of it than necessary. Charlie was the one who went on and on and on. Charlie. Not Hazel.

What it did show, which i thought was interesting, was that Charlie has always believed that Hazel 'got Daley thrown out', and that this belief has been at the back of her mind for the entire time they have been lying side by side being best friends.

Dan provided the surface detail which should have been enough and the fact he was removed for aggressive threatening behaviour. Gina will have a pop at anyone in her way and Charlie just a worrying person and calum a wimp.

Dan has now been replaced by the curtains, the twins who drape themselves over her, but no one can blame them as they'd never have got within the hair on a midges do dar outside the house. Grab it while you can boys

And Charlie is ditto, as she said to one of the twins, I think, earlier in the show that she would not be friends she looked close with in the house.

I think at the point of daleys ejection, or near after, with Hazel's agreement they should have showed the HM what we saw.

Because of Jackie. Hazel was friends with Dan and Jackie.
Both were tasked by Jackie with looking after Charlie. Evidently Charlie is in dire need of supervision.

If Dan's 'surface detail' was right then why is Hazel the 'biggest snake, gunged, chanted out every Friday? If I was a housemate I'd be thinking 'Hmmmm, something doesn't add up about this, maybe I don't know Hazel after all.'

Also you'll also remember that Sophie didn't take too kindly to the way it was explained too.

Why can't they work out that her flirtation and pursuit of a relationship with him was unpopular with and disapproved of by the viewing public, as it was by the housemates?

What makes you think Charlie believes Hazel 'got Daley threw out'?

If they are 'lying side by side being best friends' would Hazel say Charlie was being aggressive (behind said BF's back) when Hazel, once again, was involved in a 'play fight' that got out of hand? That she, herself, started?

She also whispered to Dan in the veg patch, about her friend at the time Sallie, hence, I presume, Sallie not liking Hazel on the outside.

If BB had kept out of it Cucumbergate would have ended then and there.

Calling Hazel to the DR, just for a few minutes, set the house in turmoil.

BB are shitstirrers.

I was a bit shocked by the whole pointless incident. Though I do think it's sexy when Hazel calls Charley 'Charles.'
