What Cucumbergate really revealed

Hazel did say in post-diary room convo with Callum that Charlie had been acting aggressive - & Charlie overheard correctly.

That is my problem with Hazel - she may not have meant it in an everyday use of aggressive, but that's how it came across. The fact that she totally denied the use of the word was not good, then when Callum added his twopence worth against Charlie's memory of the facts - I wanted to scream!

Charlie acted like an arse, but Hazel twisted that fact.

For that situation, both have gone down in my estimation (admittedly, a small one in terms of votes/opinions).

Also Callum is not absolved of blame - he denied that Hazel used the word aggressive, then said she did, then said he didn;t fully agree with that sentiment.

Basically, the whole situation was a complete clusterf**k

Calling Hazel to the DR, just for a few minutes, set the house in turmoil.

Definitely.

Just as Charlie has a 'foot in mouth' talent, Gina has one for making things sound worse than they were.

Who's to blame, no one really, yes I understand why Hazel didn't say tell them everything about that night, and I can understand the house wondering if that has anything to do with how much she's disliked”

But the whole point is the House aren't associating the Boos with Dazel-gate, as they've no idea what went on since Hazel 'hired' Dan to do her PR 'shutdown' on it all and Hazel's acted all innocent ever since, claiming to be 'totally mystified' by the public reaction, blaming 'jealous female viewers' and 'seeds planted by Gina & Dex 'weeks before. They really should've shown the HMs the 1 hr footage.

This to me was a pretty much inevitable situation because without a more detailed explanation about Daley then there is always going to be a real suspicion of Hazel. I understand why she felt it right to keep quiet but they know the public hate her for some reason that they can't work out and its fuelled the fire.”

100% correct.

Contrary to what some of them might say, they definitely have some distrust for Hazel, borne out of the fact that they don't know what happened exactly.

Unfortunately for Hazel, it's going to be that way for the remainder of her time in the house.

Even when they are. How evil of her.

Hazel has told her side of it to the HMs.........so they must, if they trust her, believe her....

...it would have all be cleared up if they had played the incident into the house........so no need for the HMs then to wonder if more had gone on in the SH than Hazel was telling them....

.....they find it strange at the level of booing that Hazel is getting from the crowd........and wonder if there is more to it, than she is saying......

Hazel hasn't told her side of it to the housemates.
She told Dan all the details of the incident, but the other housemates were only told that Daley was thrown out for threatening behaviour towards hazel.

Obviously Charlie erroneously believes that Hazel played some part in asking BB to remove Daley. Otherwise she wouldn't have likened the Cucumber incident to the Daley situation.

Brilliant post and synopsis of the situation.

Has anyone asked how the cucumber felt?
IT WAS FORCED INTO CHARLIE'S MOUTH FFS!
AND.....was then used to POKE Hazel in the EYE.
VIOLATED on TV, AND NO ONE gives a flying f**k!

Indeed.

Charlie and Hazel were never great buddies, very much a partnership borne out of necessity.

I am astonished at the flak Hazel is getting this year.

.........that any sort of "play fighting" in the BB house, especially after drink has been supplied, can lead to someone using the term aggressive?

I'm no fan of Hazel's, but have to say that Charlie was a total pain in the ass in this instance.

I've never bought all her backtracking "Ooops! My bad!" garbage. To me, Cucumbergate revealed that she knew full well the impact her words would have on Hazel. I found it quite chilling that Charlie could chuck a bombshell like that into the mix, and then immediately go on to so casually apply her lip liner.

Still, she's only doing what Ma Travers commanded her cherub to do: she's upping her game But seriously, can anyone recall a more self-obsessed, navel-gazing, BS-spouting HM than me-me-me Travers? Cannot stand the neurotic brat. Hope she goes on Friday, preferably dragging those equally repulsive lardyassed Twins out with her.
