Callum placed himself in his artwork but as a tiny minimalized figure both in size, relative to the world he placed himself in and in terms of the detail he included about himself - i.e. none.
Gina filled her whole page with herself and drew herself in great detail. She included the BB eye and possibly a few small motifs. But essentially she was the whole picture, analogous perhaps to her filling her world or indeed being her world.
However this may not necessarily be indicative of Gina being self centred. It may be she drew herself as the centre of her universe to fit in with the back story. All the "people wait on me hand and foot" stuff we saw in her VT.
Or indeed it may mean neither of these things but nevertheless I did find the contrast between those two pictures got me wondering.”
Gina - self contained and confident in herself and her own identity.
Callum - a small, confused man who doesn't know who or where he is in his life. He's disappearing under the weight of the clutter that he feels surrounds and confuses him.
