But that's the defence she puts forward for the things she says, and what she hopes others will accept as an excuse for otherwise often hurtful or snidey remarks. Do you think she would prefer it if the HMs said she
does think before she speaks?
Personally, I don't buy that line anyway. There's been too many instances now of her supposedly 'putting her foot in it', and always at someone else's expense. She seems like the archetypal passive-aggressive to me.
Someone on here noted that they didn't think she was deliberate in what she says because that would imply she was intelligent and a gameplayer. I don't think that necessarily has to be the case. I've known plenty of passive-aggressives in my time (as I'm sure most of us have) and, while they certainly know how to create a situation or make someone feel like shit, they're not particularly intelligent in other respects, and often there's not a 'strategy' involved either - just an immediate desire to turn the screw.
