Does the money really matter?

People win that amount on Deal or no Deal if they're lucky, the publicity of Big Brother can give the runner up, 3rd, 4th, 5th the opportunity to earn that amount anyway.

I choose my winner from who I like the most not who needs/doesn't need/ deserves money the most.

I choose those HMs I prefer to see in the final because of their entertainment value during the show.......and like you, not because they need/deserve/would make best use of......the money.....

I liked Craig in BB1 along with a couple of others, and did not know until after the show that he was giving the money to a Downs Syndrome child.......he kept it quiet......and so glad to see him with his own DIY show later.......and it was good....

I remember him saying he was giving to charity. I don't think he kept it quiet at all.

The money matters a lot, and the closer to the final they get the more it matters.

Any one of them could do with £100k

And they will do anything to get it.

IF BB really wanted a fight for money they would give prize money for second and third then the games would begin.

It depends more on who the winner is I think as to whether it matters.

Some of them will be able to make a decent amount for a short while at least: Some this year (and I think previously) have claimed they were already affluent and didn't need it.

I'm always amused by comments about "life-changing" sums of money - often this is linked to a total change of lifestyle when the reality for many is that a very modest amount might make a lot of difference and thus be life-changing in that way. For example someone who is skint can pay a few bills or buy a runabout car to help them get a job (or a better one) for a couple of hundred quid.

A few of the BB1 housemates said they'd give money to charity from the prize fund, although I didn't believe all of them... The thing with Craig was a massive shock, that's why it stuck in people's minds. I gather it was known around his area what exactly he planned to do with the money, but around the rest of the country it wasn't. Craig celebrating with Joanne remains one of my iconic BB moments.

I think it does matter. £100,000 for some people is a HUGE life changing amount of Money and these days winners don't even get that much publicity. What have Aaron and Luke A done in media relation since they won their respective series.

Entertaining or not, from their own statements Gina and Dexter do not need the money (They both have entertaining moments but I dont want either to win the show, and the money is not the reason why). Why not give the money to someone who can legitimately have their life changed for the better if they were to win.
What name??

For some housemates the PR is worth more than any prize whilst for others that is all they are likely to get out of being on BB.

So why not just give it directly to charity then?

Good idea maybe the housemates should be given that dilemma / choice. It would be interesting. Secrets and lies...

For me when choosing my winner, the money absolutely does not come into it. I don't give a damn what any to them choose to do with it, it's not my business.

I vote for who I like, who I've enjoyed watching the most, who I think has given the most of themself to the series. Once my favourite goes, I don't vote again. Consequently, I've only ever voted on three final nights out of 13

BB will be asking the HM's next, why do you deserve the money.

Myself, i don't care who needs or doesn't need it, sob stories aren't in my book, the winner should be the one who has most entertained us. Gina.

I agree. I guess they just need A prize fund so that you know people will do the show who are not 100% Media Career wannabes
