Netflix have now added quite a few shows this year (Netflix Original) I personally think the service is all the better for these additions and hope they continue to do so , which have been your favourites and do you think its a good move for both the company and the subscriber.

I've only seen the first episode of Hemlock Grove so cannot really comment on the shows as such. I do, however, believe having original content on Netflix is great for the consumer in the long term as it drives competition between the providers.

Totally agree with Tony. Didn't really give hemlock grove a viewing as it didn't sound my type of show. But House of Cards was fantastic (They also have the BBC original) and I have one episode left of Orange is the New Black and it has just got better and better each episode.

Also, the news they will be showing the second half of Breaking Bad so soon after the US network, is even more great news.

I think Netflix is good competition in the Pay TV market.

I agree with all your points , Netflix is getting better and better its more flexible to view over traditional pay TV and only costs £5.99.

I'm watching orange is the new black at the moment. It's the only Netflix original show I've watched but I am impressed.

I would be interested to know the relative costs of original content and the cost of the rights to existing TV shows.

House of cards is reported to have cost $100 million. How many top class TV shows would that have bought? Until I know that, I find it hard to make a judgement.

I watched House of Cards and really enjoyed it. Hemlock Grove was worth a watch. The trailer for Orange is the new Black was great, but I only lasted 2 episodes of the actual series.

My jury is out on this one until I have more information, which I'm not likely to get!

First I watched was Lillyhamer and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also enjoyed House of Cards.
Only seen 2 episodes of Hemlock Grove and haven't been too bothered about going back.
Not seen the others, but intend to take a look at some stage.

That's nice, but we're really only talking about original content, i.e. programming Netflix have commissioned themselves.

The only one I didn't enjoy that much was Hemlock Grove but even that was far from the car crash tv that many of the shows network TV commissions each year. And even Hemlock Grove looked like it had a fair bit of money spent on screen. So as long as they don't do so many that they let the quality drop and they don't start to look cheap then I would be happy for more

House of Cards and Orange is the New Black have both been fantastic. I wanted to like Lilyhammer but got bored half way through. Haven't got around to Hemlock Grove yet.

Here's an interesting article on the reasons why Netflix are getting into original content: http://blogs.reuters.com/felix-salmo...ginal-content/

I think it is great, I have watched House of Cards, Hemlock Grove and Orange Is The New Black and thought they were all brilliant. Hemlock Grove is probably my least favourite and does need work, but it was still a great show.
