Is anyone else like me when they tune in to watch Bit on the Side? I love the show when Emma takes it; you can tell she's a fan and she commands the audience and the panelists with ease and seamlessly moves from one section to another with natural segways.

Contrast this with AJ and Rylan. Now before anyone gets on my back, I want to say that I recognise that both of them are amateurs and at the outset I wished the both well as they were clearly in need of experience. I had supported Rylan in X Factor and in Celebrity BB - he is a lovely person.

BUT...

I am really not enjoying the amateurish displays these presenters show when they take the reins on this show. AJ seems to think that it's all about her: she cuts in when anyone wants to talk in the audience, on the panel and especially on those people who are paying to wait on the line. She asks glib questions that are clearly written for her, or if not, questions a child could have come up with. She shows no real interest in the show and does not seem concerned with anything any of the guests have to say. She yaks on and on with crap only for her to announce that they've run out of time when someone on the panel gets a chance to talk about something interesting.

Rylan on the other hand has done far better than AJ but that's not saying much! This is his first paid T.V. role and he is clearly interested in the show but he needs to be shown how to position himself for the camera when talking to the audience and not to turn away and share jokes we can barely hear with the studio audience. He needs to remember that the audience he is talking to is us at home!

Both of them need to stop butting in and asking silly questions and realise that the show is NOT about them - it is about the BB show and the panelists and guests.

Iain Lee has been missed on our screens for many years since the 11 o'clock Show - but now it's become apparent why. He's rude and conceited and shows little regard for the viewers or fans. The way he spoke to someone who was on the phone trying to read out a poem they had written was disgraceful: "Everyone knows poetry's always been shit!".

I'm delighted to see Emma when she hosts the show and I'm sure the viewers are. Because she hosts the eviction outside, she can never take the show on Fridays so they are ALWAYS destined to be poor. It's getting to a point now where, even as an avid fan, I'm considering only tuning in when she's on. Seasoned presenters who are out of work must be thinking, "what do I have to do?!" when they watch these annoying amateurs.

What do you all think?

My favourite presenter to replace them as a suggestion would be Gaby Roslin.

Low budget brigade. I doubt if they could afford to pay the better presenters.

OP why don't you just avoid watching it when AJ and Rylan are on?!

I personally don't think there too bad, but if I was that irritated by them I wouldn't tune in!

Iain Lee is meant to be like that. Hes done BB Spinoff shows for years...even during the "Good Days" Of Channel 4. I like him because he genuinely does not shy away from what people feel and the extent of how they feel it.

He was the only one to stand up to Connor last year and call him on his actions (He got removed for it if memory serves)

Rylan is completely new to presenting but you cant ignore that at the moment he has cult like status. People love him and IMO you can tell hes actually trying but whats more important is that he genuinely loves the show as opposed to people like George Lamb (Who granted had a lot more experience but it seemed like it was just a job and he could not care less)

AJ needs to improve a bit yes but again she seems to be trying and what more is she seems to ike Big Brother too.

We may not have the best presenters for BOTS but they damn sure could be doing a lot worse.

We don't all share the same views I think Rylan is doing a good job...AJ acts as if she's drunk most of the time and Ian Lee is using the show as a platform to re launch his dead in the water career...cant stand the man

Don't mind Rylan, he makes me smile occasionally, but AJ is probably the worst presenter I've ever seen, even worse than Zizi - how the hell did she get the job?

I like Rylan & A.J. - they're funny, they've got energy & they can keep the chat going.

I like the show and am ever the optimist - I hope they will improve or the panelists will take over. Dan the man looked aghast and quietly appalled at the state of affairs when he was interviewed by AJ and then on Rylan's show.

With respect though, I shouldn't have to just not tune in if I love the show and don't want to miss the tidbits and teasers for the following day just because the presenters are awful. Like I said, I love the show but the presenters are making it really hard. To think we had Russell Brand only a few years ago and now look what we have.

Good luck to Rylan but he needs to show a bit of decorum - he had a go at three callers when AJ had talked over all 3 of them. He said something about where did we find this f***ing weirdo callers. It wasn't nice.

Someone above me just said that AJ's doing a great job and we could have had much worse presenters. You need to apply for a job in the government, dahling! You could play down a crisis and make an earthquake sound like a little bit of vibration - nothing to worry about!

AJ is the BEST thing to happen on BB entirety this year, I love her did not at first but now cant imagine BBOTs without her.

Rylan has greatly exceeded my expectations of him. He's confident and has no problem with the autocue. AJ simply hasn't improved at all and needs to learn to listen to what people are saying before butting in and telling them what they should be saying.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Rylan move on to his natural home on the Xtra Factor.

Alison from BB3 and Slick Vic would be ideal hosts for Bots

Rylan is among the most pointless and stupid people on the earth, at a time when we have a leak in the ozone layer, depleting oxygen, he represents a waste.

don't mind Rylan but that AJ never shuts up, with her speech impediment ( I know its not her fault) she is worse than Luke Marsden, I just Zone out when they are on

I am enjoying AJ and Rylan, they were poor at the start but improved. I love Iain Lee and cannot understand why he's not selected as presenter on BBOTS. However, I am tired of Emma. She's overexposed. It is becoming a BIT SYCOPHANTIC.. Even on the friday show she has to make an appearance.Give Iain and AJ another night together.

HBlock, I agree almost 100% with everything you've said and I avoid watching the shows that only feature AJ and Rylan because my irritation outweighs my enjoyment.
During the glory days of Little Brother, with the wonderful Dermot, Ian Lee would make many appearances and I loathed him thinking him flip, ignorant, self-satisfied and anything but funny. However, compared to AJ and Rylan he now shines like a beacon of professionalism and I can just about bear him. I can't imagine what the Saturday show would be like if AJ was left on her own to present it!
My dream team (and it is only a fantasy) would be Marian Keyes and Dermot.

We must be kindred spirits!

Is that Dermot O'Leary? I do like him.

I know it isn't realistic but Ant and Dec would be very good on the show. They'd really get into it.

I want someone to ask the really awkward questions to the housemates when they come out and not the glib, trite questions that we've all heard before. It's like hearing a footballer get interviewed and counting the cliches:

"It's so different to watching the show when you're actually in there 24/7!!"

"I really missed my family and am actually happy to be coming out."

"I've really enjoyed my time in there!"

I think I'd like maybe Simon Amstell to do it. I don't watch Never Mind the Buzzcocks because I don't like it but he seems to be someone with the brains and the balls to actually ask the right questions.

I'd love David Mitchell to do it in a perfect world - we can dream!!

AJ is the best thing to happen on television.... ever. It will never be the same again.

Even watching a different channel whilst she is on BOTS has become a delight.

She should go far!

I like them both and I'd even go as far as to say Rylan is better with AJ than when he's on his own on Sundays.

He has a good rapport with the audience. It's not meant to be question time, just a light hearted spin off show surely. I remember watching big mouth when Russell was presenting and there were plenty of detractors online whingeing about his ball bags etc.

I hope they're both back next year.

AJ was a gobby big mouth whenever she appeared on the show as a guest in the past.

It's how she got the gig in the first place, of course, but now she's a host she's still a gobby big mouth shouting over the others and grandstanding for attention, whereas a professional would understand that on BOTS it is the hosts job to let others be the big-mouthed opinionated so-and-sos

Rylan is funny at times but when he is interviewing guests he is terrible.

I do think they should hold auditions for people to be BOTS hosts for next series, have some proper super fans present the show. The format could do with being refreshed - the segments with some expert or vegetable claire voyants are horrendous. As the only spin-off show we should be seeing far more clips that weren't in the highlights, diary room extra clips and more behind the scenes.

Now I'm pretty sure that the powers that be will realise their error and definitely replace AJ with someone who is:

a) interested in big brother
b) competent and presenting and drawing different opinions together from the people in the studio
c) someone who can take a phonecall and be quiet for 2 minutes while the person speaks
d) ask decent questions that get to the heart of the matter
e) a good user of time so that time is not wasted with filler and crap and the interesting stuff is cut short

I like Rylan. But I don't like AJ.

Yes she is a beautiful woman but I don't like her as a presenter. Some of the things she comes out with are as bad as what Charlie says.

With the questions to the HM's before they went in and she was asking back door or front door, Dan said front and she shouted you liar. He said to her you can't say that to me.

Then the bloke on the phone called Thomas she went the train and said choo choo
