What great characters have been lost over the years due to the voting system?

One`s that otherwise would have stayed under a positive voting system.

Obviously most recently there is Dan.

But there's a few travesty`s I remember well, such as Anouska from the dreadful BB4!

And in Big Brother 11 we lost Ben, Sam pepper, John James, leading to the most boring finale in history !

I disagree with you here sorry Jay. You are right there have been people over the years who have been evicted "Before Their Time" so to speak but there are so many different factorss to take into account.

Like who they were up for eviction against? Or more importantly what they have done in the house? Most of the "Lost" Big Characters were Marmite characters so they were either Love or Hate so they had done things in some eyes to be evicted.

Where as people like Sam BB14, Sara BB13, Liam BB8 and so on were genuinely nice people. They did not really do anything to offend anyone so people did not really have a reason to evict them. Through being nice they deservedly made it to the final IMO.

BB6 had some big ones. We lost Science and Kemal in votes to evict against Orlaith.

Also Victor (BB5) would have been likely to stay in a Vote to Save situation?

Nikki (BB7) is another one that springs to mind, she would have finished 2nd if she didn't get evicted I think.

Despite these, it's always good to be able to vote the 'villains' out. The likes of Grace, Sezer, Maxwell, Saskia, Fat Jo from S-Club and Bex may have stayed when up for eviction and that would have been wrong.

Grace, sezer, maxwell , saskia would never have stayed under vote to save in a million years.

Wanted Freddie to win..very genuine character..

Gina doesn't hold a candle to him in being posh and quirky.

I prefer vote to evict, as never liked Victor, Nikkie or a lot of the others named in above posts, we all have our own opinions as I often say

None

The biggest voting surprise ever was Science losing to Orlaith and that was a great character lost BUT... he didn't get enough votes... you cant blame the system, it is democracy.
Lots of people didnt like Science... end of the day, dog eat
dog

FYI.
Dan is not a big character he is a big head, a big nob head

Saskia was a marvellous bitch, she puts recent BB bitches to shame.
I liked seeing her go. She was so cross.

Losing a spineless misogynistic bully like John-James was not great loss IMO, although I do agree that BB11's finale was :yawn::yawn:!

Correct me if I'm wrong but for a few series before this one didn't we have "vote to save" and the big characters still went every week? And then this time they reinstated vote to evict in an attempt to avoid that, and here we are with the same problem

Scary Mary from BB6. If she had stayed and that hairdresser guy, whose name I can't recall, had gone we would have been spared all that cringey bromance bordering on stalking and sexual harassment that followed with him and "Anfony".

That's the point though isn't it if someone else had stayed a big story that has gone into BB history wouldn't have happened, like in BB2 Penny was up against Helen for the first eviction and I loved Penny (just been re-watching BB2 and she was a great HM, barking mad but great) and wanted her to stay but if Helen had gone we would have never had Paul and Helen and all the Helenisms. Similar with Jade, she was up against Lynne first time and I wanted Lynne to stay but look how much of a legend Jade went on to be, whatever your opinion of her.

Anyway talking about ppl being voted out who should have gone on to win I agree with Science but Kemal was an arse, Freddy definitely should have won 10 not Sophie the most undeserving winner ever and Ben should have won 11. And although Alex wasn't voted out per we he should have won 3.

Yeah but, no but - if Stephen Hawkins is right, there's universes' somewhere out there where all those other possibilities happened.

A lot of people would have made the final in a VTS in the Ch4 years, such as Victor, Science, John James, Jon, Freddie, Marcus, Bea to name just a few.

That's because he really WAS posh and quirky.

imo Gina is a young actress trained at the Sylvia Young School who is, in an act of desperation, trying to launch her acting/celeb career through the dodgy medium of BB.

I really hope it doesn't work.
