Hazel at 18 = golddigger?!

"After Jimmy I went out with a very wealthy businessman. I found myself being whisked off to Paris on dates, he'd lavish me with gifts, put me up in the Four Seasons Hotel, throw open the window and there would be the Eiffel Tower lit up in front of you. It was every girl's dream. But I would prefer to go for a burger and chips and a walk in St Stephen's Green to feed the ducks -- as long as it's with someone that I love.
"One morning I woke up and he was already up and getting dressed to go to a meeting and on his way out the door he told me he left cash by the bed to go shopping; I looked at the bedside locker and there was €1,000.
"I felt the most horrible empty feeling in the world. Like he was trying to buy my affections. I got my things together and left. I never want to be in that type of relationship."

Almost a child and making a few mistakes as she finds herself - who hasn't? I take all reports like that with a pinch of salt - it implies she has learned from it. I hope so. I don't know if she has.
