the op only asked the question about Hazel being a golddigger - I don't think it is an unreasonable question, when we see older 40 year old men dating young 18 year old models, the question is often asked if that woman is only with him for the money. I mean, if Hazel wanted a guy to take her on low-key dates as she claims, why was she even with this guy who preferred to whisk her to Paris - every girls dream, but not hers apparently.

Seems a very fair question - I don't know if she's a golddigger or not, but she's obviously someone who seeks fame and fortune so it really isn't that unfair a question - probably just the wrong place to ask it, it's hard to debate these things here as any debate about her is hijacked by those who hate her and think she's evil, and those who think she's amazing and can do no wrong.

I can't see that her accepting dates from men who have asked her out is any form of gold digging. If she did it repeatedly maybe... just maybe. And of course 18 is firmly in the stupid years, when one imagines one is all grown up and knows it all so one is more prone to do stupid things because one has no gauge yet to know just how stupid stupid can be. At 18 one thinks one knows it all but one usually knows almost nothing or nothing in reality.

You are never going to get everyone laughing at the same thing. People have different senses of humour, which is why your book is not the only one in town.

Sure, I don't like Gina, and have been vocal about that as my posts will attest to.
What I don't do..and you can call me on this and I will apologise if I have, is really tear into Gina's appearance( I contributed on one titled "Ginas Hair"..and said I think she would look amazing with darker hair.)

Perhaps what I should have said is..smart alec and hurtful vulgar inuendo passed off as a joke gets on my nerves. Humour is of course subjective and my use of it was incorrect. My mind is well and truly opened and I would never assume to dictate what others should find funny.
