Sam CBB would have had potential in a regular series, not a series that had almost all older people (Speidi, Paula, Gillian, Frankie, Razor, Claire, Tricia). No wonder he couldn't make conversation.

I agree but he could have made more of an effort as well to join in rather than sleeping.
To be fair to Sam (BB14) he does make the effort and from the live feed (but not shown on the highlights show) he has good conversations with everyone
The difference for me is Sam (BB14) makes me smile with his silly stuff and Sam (CBB) did not embrace the experience and just had a good time
I can usually remember housemates after thinking for a while but no, still no idea who Sam Robertson was or what he looked like...and I watched that series...
EDIT: Okay, Googled...he was Scottish, right? And got evicted early? And did nothing?

Me too. Either i'm losing my memory or the housemates are becoming more forgettable. I think both, but after googling him I think it's understandable, as he was devoid of any kind of personality. This time next year someone will bring up Sam from this series and I'll be like "who?".
In answer to the question at hand though, this years Sam is marginally better.
