My iPhone4 which I've not had all that long works perfectly everywhere on the 3G. I'm with EE (formerly Orange with t mobile). However, when I'm out of the house and try to log on to read my emails I don't seem to be able to connect to, for example, BTWifi despite the signal being at maximum strength.

Are there any settings I need to tweak to get the wifi up and running?

If you're connected to BT WiFi outside the home then its probably that BT open zone thing.

Are you a BT broadband customer? Because if not you will have to pay BT to use it.

Open safari while connected to BT WiFi and you should see the BT log in page

If you are a BT customer, then have you installed and set up the BT Wifi App?
