..in an embarrassing act of self-censorship Microsoft recently asked Google to censor links to its very own Microsoft.com.

Why the bloody hell would Microsoft want links to its own site removed from Google? How the hell are people going to download anything from their site? Apart from updates, which happens through the OS now. If true, I wonder which absolute idiots at Microsoft decided this?

These are obviously done by a crawler or a bot. A bit of software malfunctioning, stop the presses :P

I'm not sure that they are trying to do.
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...ls-every-month
"Microsoft is managing to find 200,000-plus undesirable URLs every week, reaching its all-time high of 372,000 the week of 25"

Just maybe it is a tit for tat thing with Google reporting so called bad sites catalogued on Bing.

Where oh where did Microsoft go wrong? They're a joke these days. First Windows 8, then the Xbox One, now this. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson after the disaster that was Vista back in 2007.

If you read the link you'll see it was an error, and why oh why are you going on about Vista and W8 again

If you want to blame anyone for Microsoft going wrong, blame the BBC. It was the BBC who came up with the idea of cybermen, and it is the cybermen which are causing Microsoft to make all this stupid decisions with Wndows 8 and the Xbox One etc!
