This is available for free on the australian app store. I created an Australian account yesterday and I've been playing it on my Ipad.

Pretty sweet little game. Seems a lot harder than the first but i quite like the challenge.

Saw the video review of this last night on IGN, it looks excellent a really good sequel and really glad (it seems) the paid for aspects don't spoil the balance of the game and aren't even a requirement to complete the game, the new locations look great.

After adoring the first game and with the wait for a sequel being so stupidly long, I had thought for a long time this sequel would never happen (the title "it's about time" could not be more apt!). So very pleased it did happen and unlike many other highly delayed sequels is not a disappointment.

The only thing that really annoys me is that I won't be able to play it anytime soon as my tablet / phone is Android so I have to wait for them to port it. With so many people on Android now I don't see why they couldn't do a simultaneous release for a game this big, they gonna annoy a lot of people by making it an iOS exclusive IMHO.

Not a patch on the original. Picture quality is awful.

I have completed all 3 worlds and have about 3/5 of the total stars.

It's a good game, absolutely no need to spend a penny on any of the IAP content.

It seems odd as the camera is only used to put a picture to your user profile and is totally optional, I assume this is something they can fix.

It's not about the camera it's about the software. Apple want all apps to be able to run on all iPhones,iPads so they don't allow you to pick and choose which models to develop for. The only way developers can not have to get it running on the older devices is to say it requires a feature only available on the newer models (in this case the front facing camera). To optimise for earlier iPhones etc would require them to change the game so it is smooth for them.

And this in a nutshell is what is wrong with IOS gaming.

Paying 400 for a device that is now 3 and a bit years old and suddenly unable to play the latest game on it.

Its not for me, im out.

Just got around to giving this a go.

Not keen on the way they seem to have leaned toward the whole "buy in-game assets with real money" thing which is so popular these days.

I'd rather spend a set amount on a game and KNOW, for sure, that it's been designed in a way to provide me with the stuff I need to complete it rather than continually living in fear of either having to spend a potentially endless amount of money to compensate for bad in-game decisions or endlessly farm levels I've already completed to recoup sqandered in-game assets.

Specifically, I don't like the way that if you spend your in-game coins on power-ups and then fail and have to retry a level it doesn't reset your level of coins again.

I thought popcap were a decent game developer but PvZ2 has certainly gone the greedy IAP route.

Completed it a while ago and didn't spend one penny on it, you don't need to buy anything to finish the game.

Its a good game, but not as good as the original, it's just a lot shorter and misses a lot of the content of the original.

Yeah I agree with your assessment, my biggest complaint is you should be able to buy plants with stars (or another in game currency) and the lack of extra things to do like the zen garden.
