Nope, I want Alfie out the Vic. I always thought he worked better in the market anyway.

I think this will happen. I also think the place will be given a make over. The lime green bar and dirty wooden bar stools was always a WTF.

I agree and I would love someone like Denise and Patrick to run the Vic.

Patrick running the vic, only way he run the Vic is into closure.

Id like to see Patrick run the vic, but u can imagine him drinking the profits, and offering free drinks all the time to Cora and Dot.

Well it might be unpopular here but...

I think Kirsty could be ideal for The Vic. Minus Max of course. Kirsty and Carl running the place together would be different and that is what the place needs imho

Cora and Sharon for me or a new brand new family headed by Stephanie Beachem.

Alfie and Roxy OUT of the Vic please...

I'd like to see the Mitchell's back in IF Peggy returns full time.

David Wicks and Sharon Watts in The Vic perhaps?

Alfie has destroyed that pub on two occasions. Why they keep putting the fool back in there is beyond me.

I hope he is very professional and not a wimp to take no noncence, like Newman who befriends the actors to the point shes worried about their feelings if she axes them!

I hope he gives Shane an ultimatum, Get out the Vic and work in a stall, or GO!

I think this is essential too. He needs to do whats best for the show and move it forward. Plus if Shane leaves because of it so be it - Dominic cant allow himself to be dictated to by any of the shows "stars" especially those who cant act!

I cant see Barbara Windsor returning full time.

David and Sharon would be great business partners actually especially for the Vic.

Carol and Sharon have shared few scenes which is a shame.

Sharon or a non- blonde Mitchell please

I like Alfie in the Vic but he worked better as manager rather than landlord. Sharon been landlady and Alfie been bar manager would work a treat!!!

Thank goodness!

I would like to see anyone other than Alfie or the Mitchells owning the Vic outright.

I would like to see David and Sharon interact, they have history.

As for Carol, they barely knew each other last time in Walford (In fact i recall a scene when Jack said he was looking after a boy for 'Sharon Rickman' and she said 'You mean Sharon Mitchell?')

Alfie was ruined this stint he use to bring life and spark to the vic interact with locals

I thought being in the pub was in his contract? Sharon won't get it back unless her and Phil can sort everything out between them. It would be nice to see her back behind the bar, but The Vic needs a family in it really.

He's making the vic boring and dull

I'd like to see Sharon get it back somehow.

Agreed. I said as much in another thread yesterday.

The Vic hasn't worked with Alfie behind it in his recent stint. The same goes for Kat. The magic that they once had is not there anymore.

In fact the Vic has become a non entity in recent years. This used to, and should be the focal point for drama. It's the heart of the show. Even simple scenes like characters interacting in that boozer just don't have the same feel anymore.

The place has become dead.

What that place desperatly needs is fresh blood. We need one or two new faces behind the bar to liven it up and give the place some character. What's more is that they need screen presence and inject the place with good deal of warmth, humour and attitude.

I really hope BK doesn't take the easy option of putting Sharon behind the bar either. Her days behind that place are over also IMO.

I'd personally love a new family to move above the vic and take the place by its helm. A risk yeah but I think that place, and the show on a whole, is in desperate need of one.

I think Alfie works well as a barman, just not as the manager. I do think it's better when they have a landlady in charge. I wish they would do more with Roxy, but she's not the sort of person who looks out for others.
