"The Flash" TV show planned
CW is hoping to spin a "Flash" TV show outta its
hit "Arrow" : http://www.avclub.com/articles/the-c...noff-a,100938/ The CW have previous tried to launch "Wonder Woman" and "Aquaman" shows with no luck. Here's hoping this is more successful. |

It never made it to terrestrial TV in the UK. |

I'm a bit disappointed that this is happening as there was rumours of a Flash film but I guess that won't happen if this tv show is happening.I also think that The Flash is more suited to the big screen than the small screen!

I bought the box set from Amazon US when it was discounted quite a bit a while ago. Don't have the luxury of Satellite TV.

If this does go to a series then maybe they should have John Wesley Shipp who played Barry Allen in the 90s version make an appearance as Jay Garrick

It used to form part of my Friday nights viewing as a youth on Sky One.
I'm sure it used to be something like 9pm The Flash 10pm WWF Superstars 11pm Freddy's Nightmares |

I wonder if DC will make an effort to tie-in the current Arrow and forthcoming Flash TV series with the Man of Steel universe? After all, Marvel's new Agents of SHIELD series is going to tie-in with the Avengers films.

Re-watched the entire series of The Flash a few months back. It was a great show. Mark Hamill was good as the evil Trickster among other guest stars including David (Partridge Family) Cassidy and Bill (Danger, Will Robinson) Mumy.
Listened to John Wesley Shipp talking at length on a podcast recently and he seems like a very nice and interesting man. |

Bit annoying that this means Flash will not now appear in Arrow.
![]() I believe Flash was due to appear in Arrow towards the end of the season but due to Barry Allen's 2 Arrow episodes doing so well they decided to scratch the later Flash episodes and opt for the pilot instead. |

That's and it makes sense. If the Flash made his first appearance in an episode of Arrow then the episode would be 50% Green Arrow and 50% Flash whereas if he appears first in the pilot episode of his own show it will be 100% about him
But i do like a cross over episode... Not to the extent where Smallville became Justice league light but the odd team up never hurts. I'm sure when Flash is up and running (excuse the pun) that Green Arrow will make appearances in that and vice versa. |
