What was your favourite Jean episode?

I didn't really watch back from 04 but a recent favourite of mine was when she was watching the night sky through the telescope and wittering away too Shirley.
Oh and I think that episode where that little girl - cannot remember her name for the life of me - came to stay with Kat and Alfie and I remember Jean having a relapse; running and shouting amongst the cars...

Think she's a brilliant actress and such a change from the usual figures we see on the square..

The episode where Sean kidnapped her and drove her to where he "killed" Brian.

I also liked the episodes leading up to Sean's exit where he only trusted Jean with his and Amy's whereabouts.

I loved that week of episodes with her and Stacey back in 05. She was also brilliant during Stacey's bi-polar storyline - the episode where she was sectioned in-particular.

As annoying as she is I will miss Jean - probably one of the few morally correct people still left in Walford.

There were many moving scenes with Jean, Stacey and/or Sean but the one that stands out for me was Jean washing Stacey's hair. I can't remember the context (possibly Stacey's mental illness?)

Is letting her daughter get away with murder, went in to Scarlett's after hours and was part of a gang that caused a fire. Yeah she's got real morals.

She was going to ship Stacey to the police though. Which is more than can be said for some Walford residents. She was also disgusted with Stacey.

And she didn't really play a part in the fire incident. It was the other two.

That was a great scene.

I loved how it paralleled the scene from a few years prior when Jean was in the bath and Stacey was washing her hair.

Yes. EE used to have a long term memory.
Here is the (earlier) companion piece from 2005:

Stacey goes to visit her mum in December 2005, the house is all boarded up and Stacey climbs through the window, her bipolar is really bad and her and Stacey argue and Stacey goes to live there for a few days. It was really good. Her acting was much better back then when she only appeared occasionally.

I liked most of her scenes with Sean as they had such a complicated relationship and she was great during Stacey's bipolar storyline.

I will never, ever forget the episode where Stacey had to use her hands to get the chips out of Jean's mouth, when she tried to choke herself. It was gruesome but utterly heartbreaking - this was when EastEnders actually showed stuff like this, took a risk, and the writing was top notch. It was a fantastic moment of television and Gillian and Lacey did wonders.

The whole storyline with Michael conning Jean was a strange highlight. It seemed to appear from nowhere yet it was the storyline I connected to the most - two fabulous characters that never usually interracted, and Gillian was - again - absolutely fantastic.

EastEnders loses its BEST actress.

The stand-out episode for me was the scenes between Ronnie and Jean not long after Stacey left.

It was beautifully written and acted. I got really choked up at Jean's line "Would you help me please?"
Incredibly moving piece.
