Not one to want to cause a row, BUT, DS Soap Forum turns into a playground at times!
I enjoy coming on here, often. Seeing views, opinions, ideas etc... All are different, ranging from soap to soap, what some enjoy and what others don't.
Overall it is a great place to be, there are the regulars who I find myself laughing with etc... But christ almighty, more often than not just lately, it is turning into somewhat of a playground! This soap is better than that soap, this character is better than that character. PEOPLE... Calm down! We're here to discuss SOAPS which are NOT REAL LIFE! We all have our favourites, we all have our dislikes. Can't we just discuss/debate and let it be without getting personal and nasty? SMILE!!

School holidays, you might have to get used to it for a couple of months.

' Sweetie pie you've had forty years '
But was this thread very necessary? I'm thinking it will cause unnecessary arguments. |

![]() Some of the old timers ( like me) have a little banter with some of the fans from other soaps but it's all in good fun. However...The endless slagging off soaps threads is usually started by someone new to the site that ends up getting a ban a few weeks later (or someone that's been banned before) |

Lol. I just hate clicking on a thread (yes I know I can just as easily click off) and finding myself reading a load of posts where people are arguing and getting personal. I used to find the DS Soap Forum fun, but it's getting quite depressive. x

Agreed. The General Discussion forum is much worse though.

Welcome to hell
Seriously if it bothers you and you think things are getting personal you can press the alert button, mods have rules in place for a reason. It happens now again on here as its a popular forum and some like to troll, but normally its stop reverently early on. |

I wrote a post about this in one of the threads last week. Some of the people on here are pretty childish.

Sometimes I find cyber rows on here (ones without personal attacks) hugely entertaining
![]() Just can't believe how wound up some get over trivial things! |

I don't think it's just teenagers getting involved in these arguments. There are grown adults too.

What goes down in the Soaps forum is pretty tame stuff when compared to the Football or Big Brother forums.
Here, we are talking about nothing more than fake characters acting out made up stories. If you take this kind of thing too seriously then you need help! |

Lol, why are you blushing there?
![]() ![]() But yes, I have been in my fair share of arguments too - usually for trying to defend myself. I like a good, fun debate about a character or storyline, but hate it when some folks start getting so serious and personal for criticising their favourite character or soap and I'm not one to sit back and take rude remarks . You end up having to defend and justify your opinion to them. You shouldn't have to do that. In regards to the "my soap is better than yours" arguments, I tend to stay out of those. Can't be bothered with those. They're pointless, childish and go no where. It's all down to personal taste. |
