Interesting. Wonder what will replace it ?.

I do need Anytime calls, so hopefully when I rejoin Sky next year they'll have something there.

Thanks for the info.

It's funny that I've been suggesting (for some time) Sky include 0845 numbers in the Sky Talk packages and look what has happened. So, presumably many other people have asked for this. I don't think I'll be upgrading (changing packages) for the time being, because there is usually a geographical number for 0845 calls, if one looks on www.saynoto0870.com , which are FOC.

More info here.

Talk about making things as complicated as possible.

Phone call charges are suffering from 'train fare syndrome'.

In other words, no consumer really knows what is going on.

Well it looks like they are adding 0845 numbers and removing international ones from the anytime package.

According to Sky (phoned them up). An 0800 number (0800 0963624).

Sky Talk Unlimited UK will incur a £5 supplement per month on top of the line rental.

Sky Talk Unlimited International will incur a £10 supplement per month on top of the line rental.

For me (as an existing customer), there is nothing to be gained by upgrading, as I can work around most 0845 numbers and the extra international destinations offered are of no use to me, as I only need to phone the USA, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland.

On one package yes.

The other 'International' package is increasing the number of abroad destinations from 22 to 50, charging an extra fiver.
