If you are hoping for ITV HD and live in Scotland then you wont get it because of restrictions if you take the extra channels, not happy at all as ITV should be received in Scotland no matter what

ITV PLC does not have the right to broadcast ITV Network Programming in Scotland. That right lies with STV.

You can get STV HD on Channel 103 in Scotland via DTT.

Anyne know how you order the extra channels. I have a retail Youview box and also have the BT Vision player unlimited and as of last Thursday evening have the BT sports channels and ESPN turned on via my retail Youview box but when I try and order the extra channels online it says they will send out a Vision + box that I dont need with a £49 activision fee.
Any help would be great.

"You can not record an internet channel".

When is the update happening to rectify this?

I have tried doing a software update several times and no joy. I have posted on the BT community forums to see if BT can help!

YouView seems to be very hit and miss! and confusing!

I have infinity 2, homehub 4, a 200Mb/s powerline distribution around the house with a BT youview box and 2 Talk Talk youview boxes. None are cabled directly to the router, all boxes get the sports channels in SD and HD and all the boxes get the 16 extra channels. BT say you can only have one box working on an infinity 2 line and the extra channels will only work if hard wired, this is rubbish. Unless you are very lucky it is also almost impossible to order the extra channels on a you view box. If you try online there is no option for the extra channels on youview for £2, if you call the online order number they tell you that you cant have that option and then transfer you to the technical group who also tell you the same. After a week of banging my head against the wall,I called the number on the you view box screen and the sales person first said it was unavailable, made a call then activated it within two minutes. all channels on all boxes.

Does anyone know what you need to do to get your ISP Configuration to change to 29, I had BT Infinity installed on Friday and it is stuck on 28 and therefore doesn't pick up the extra channels.

I have tried checking for software updates, factory resetting the box, rebooting the box and removing the network cable and plugging it back in again but nothing has worked. I am connecting the YouView box to a Homehub 4 over 200Mb Powerline adapters.

I live in a residential area less than 4 miles from the centre of Cardiff, but cannot receive infinity broadband, and there are no plans for the exchange to change within the next few years.

I have a BT YouView box that works well, and am able to stream all catch-up and on-demand programmes without any problems from my existing B/B connection. Can someone explain to me why I cannot get BT Sport and the extra channels without Infinity? I accept that HD may be a problem, but if the catch-up SD programmes can stream OK, then why can't the Sport and Extra SD channels?

I just get 'the computer says no' response from BT.

Because your exchange needs to be upgraded with multicast Layer 2 switches, and that only happens when Infinity is rolled out in its area.

Catch up TV does not use multicast.
