Ever in a cinema and think (insert name) plays the same damn character in every movie I have seen them in. Here's a few I have noticed;

-Cameron Diaz (successful career woman with relationship problems)
-Jennifer Aniston (always Rachel)
-Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughan (happy go lucky men)
-Jason Bateman (family man with a problem)

Sean Connery always plays Sean Connery. Luckily for him, and us, that's largely good enough.

Regards

Tom Hanks. Always seems to play 'Mr Everyman' who's just trying to do his best to 'carry on' according to the nature of the film.

Roger Moore always plays Roger Moore, or a character who thinks he is Roger Moore (The Cannonball Run).

In recent films Adam Sandler seems to play the part of a really cool guy with a hot girlfriend and a nice house and whose friends all fawn over him.

Also, as much as I adore Colin Firth he always seems to play the bumbling English dandy. Not that I mind, but it would be great to see him in a different role. For example, Trevor from Eastenders

I know I've only posted a couple of times in the movies bit and bashed Adam Sandler in every post, but I promise you I'm not some mental with a Vendetta for Adam Sandler. I used to really enjoy his movies but I guess I'm just disheartened that they've all become so samey.

Also, what's that one movie where Michael Cera plays the awkward teenager?

Yeah, and when he played a Roman soldier in the Jesus flick.

I'd rather see him relegated to being the owner of a gym in Eastenders...maybe he could deal in 'roids' or something then he could screw his face up a bit and act like a macho turd.

She really like playing posh people, but she does excel at it though

Maggie Smith is the same actually, but she is a legend anyway.

Will Smith went through a phase of this and to be honest he should probably go back to it!
