Not to say you can't understand him or his actions, but generally the place the story was at, the characters he interacted with/didn't interact with, the writing and direction etc.

I do love Existential!Ennui!Brendan, although he only lasted for one scene before the beard went and the tache and the suit came back.

I watched that after Barry to cheer myself and it did the trick.

The Barry episode is very hard to watch.

Little Barry has nerves of steel not to run away when Brendan's bearing down on him looking completely unhinged. I do think that's a brilliant scene, but my god, Brendo was terribly fcuked up.

Brendo was batsh*t cray cray then.

Weirdly this time around for me the hardest part was him sacking Ste. I know it was shoved in our faces why that was but they made Brendan so unhinged, as you say. I'd actually have preferred him to shout at Ste for not believing him.

Your fave Ash helped though.

Ash was *okay* then. It pains me to say it. She was a crap psych student, but at least she wasn't stupid. Then Will happened.

It's weird seeing Will wandering about in the rewatch.

When Theresa is wanting Joel but stuck with Will, I want to scream at her to dump the psycho.

Going, how can you like Will? He is awful!

Ha, same. He's very bland, mawkish and frustrating. It's not particularly endearing.
