Candy Buffet

Candy Buffet (sounds like some sort of 80s porn star?)

Our lovely friend who is also our neighbour came back from Colorado the other day and we went to her place last night for a dinner of American candies and cookies. It was great, she brought back the Golden Oreos I requested too.

Mothers vanilla creme cookies were amazing! There was 'fruit by the foot', 'candy corn', 'good and plenty', 'sweet tarts', Werthers Originals with apple filling, amongst lots of other things.

We had a great night, though I ate too much and was pretty close to being sick (mass amounts of sugary stuffs for dinner - not surprising!).

I recommend everyone (except perhaps diabetics) to get some pals together and have a 'candy buffet' - it's fun!

BTW - does anyone know somewhere in the UK that sells the different flavours of Oreo? (I didn't even know they existed til 2 weeks ago!)

That is a lot of candy!

I prefer conventional dinner parties with wine and a nice slab of cake for dessert!

Yea, the thought of all that confectionary is actually making me feel a wee bit queasy.

I must confess we didn't eat all of it! But I sampled lots of new things. The peanut butter Oreos were very interesting. I actually liked them, which is strange because I don't really like peanut butter.

I know Cybercandy in Covent Garden had flavoured Oreo's last time I was in. I got Blueberry which I think were japanese and the golden ones.

Thanks River. I'll check in there soon and also see if they have Twinkies.
My pal couldn't get me a Twinkie from USA, she looked everywhere she could but the Twinkie people are having probs and not supplying at the mo.
