Of course, that is not a surprise!”
It's strange a little really. I mean Liverpool v Cardiff got 625,000 in December when BT were in a purple patch, topping 600,000 week after week with two 1,000,000 plus averages on Boxing Day and NYD. BT should be a tad disappointed if it doesn't average out at 500,000 or so come next week I would feel.
With the games left to go though, I wouldn't expect viewing figures to be soaring:
Hull v Sheffield United (FA Cup Semi Final) 100
I would have said more but the fact it goes head to head with Swansea v Chelsea means its going to struggle.
Tottenham v Fulham, 440
It's a nothing game for Tottenham really with just pride at stake but it could be a vital game for Fulham as they look to escape the drop. It's also a London derby but figures won't be amazing.
Southampton v Everton, 410
Two teams with lower fan-bases but actually arguably BT's most exciting game despite it being fifth choice! Everton are the people's favourite to snatch 4th place from Arsenal and this is a must win game against a strong top half Southampton team.
West Ham v Tottenham, 500
It could quite possibly be both the fixture which has the least importance to it and also BT's highest average of the final games. Spurs can draw a reasonable audience while West Ham games at Upton Park generally get good viewing figures and attention.
