On La Liga rights I believe they will be a one year only last minute deal as there is a English Premier league collective style deal agreed in principle but will be too late for next season. Several clubs have already agreed single season domestic rights.

Internationally the rights are sold collectively. Is only domestic where the rights are still sold club-by-club.

Thanks. I just think it is a very good way of getting BT sports cheap. The SIM part of it is the same deal as paying EE so really getting BT for free. With having 2 young children I tend to watch a lot of games on my phone anyway.

Am i the only one getting just the center channel & LFE channel of the 5.1 sound on BT Sport 1 HD right now?

No. I had to switch audio mode on my amp to force DPL to make it bearable until they fixed it.

Bts presentation is terrible - trying to be different with terrible presenters / pundits

I actually think nbc sports coverage is better than bt and on par with sky
Arno white and Graeme le saux I think are the best combo I've watched - le saux actually sounds intelligent and gives genuinely usefully inf during the match

Michael Owen just sounds like a drowning dalek

Ive heard many good things about NBC SN and their coverage.
Shame we get lumbered with a joke like BT and their trying t be different crap which has failed miserably!
Agreed on Owen. The man drives me and alot of others insane everytime he opens his whining voice to talk yet more bollocks.

Yet when Le Saux did co-commentary for BBC and ITV a few years back he was getting terrible reviews. I think it's more a case of hearing people too often you get bored of them. Townsend, Owen, Lawrenson aren't terrible broadcasters. They have just been overexposed beyond their capabilities. If you heard them just 3 or 4 times a season there would be nowhere near the level of criticism they get.

As far as co-commentators go and in particular when any English clubs are involved, they come no worse than Townsend.
His screeching, yelling and all his "Go On Get In" is making him worse than Owen and that's saying something.
Owen is certainly not the worst around and has certainly got better this season especially when he has been with Darke.

Interesting to see BT in a studio for their premier league coverage today

To be fair while Townsend can turn completely partisan at times if an English club is involved (and is dire), Owen comes up with some frankly ridiculous views and analysis.

Even the most casual football viewer would be ashamed at saying "Balotelli has 30 minutes to make a name for himself" for example and that's not an isolated case. Add that to a voice totally unsuited to commentary and he's one of the very worst around for me.

Sorry casinoman if I've surprised you with my view there.

They used it for Ars-Liv as well at half-time and post-match. Problem today was they had James, McManaman and Savage - not the best line-up - and in my opinion James came out as the one who came across best. I get that it's not a very big game but still. Where is Scholes? He's been very under used this season.

Hargreaves and Scholes are the brightest sparks of the BT pundits.
