I agree Derek Rae is a very good TV Sports commontater and that BT have here SPFL team just right for there BT sports coverage.
I would not mind if BT went for and got most of the SPFL rights next time round including most of the first pick matches. For I think Sky had the rights to to first pick SPFL matches.
Its good to see that BT and not Sky has all the SPFL Premiership plays offs this season.

Well that's my BT cancelled for the season. Now all I need to do is find a way of getting the Irish channels and I'll be sorted for the CL next season.

I'll be keeping BT Sport as the setanta pack here in Ireland is better value than sky sports

BT Sport will have every champions league/europa league game live next season and as someone that ignores the first choice English live games for the decent European games, BT Sport is my choice

Thankfully Ian Darke leading the commentary team.

It seems all of BT's coverage is top-drawer (the rugby most certainly is - and is an example of the innovation going right and being well received) except the Premier League.

Perhaps BT realise this hence why they want a different line up come the Champion's League in a few months time.
It really can not get any worse.

A new BT Sport channel(s) has appeared on Sky channel 457/458 titled "BT Preview" and "BT Preview HD"

I wonder if this will eventually turn into the Free version of BT Sport or could be the equivalent of BT Sport 3.

Good call there. Fully agree.
Im amazed at how ignorant BT are to the fact they get battered week in and week out for the shabby job they do with the EPL coverage!
Surely they cannot be this deaf to the criticisms?!

Derek Rae i think is 2nd only to Ian Darke IMHO! Both are exceptional at their jobs.

The excellent Baker and Kelly's VSPO will not be renewed for a third season. Terrible news as for my money it's the most interesting and entertaining football show around.

Twitter and last night's final live show itself. I hoped they were joking and would be back next season but the ending was a sincere "thanks for everything BT" and it's a real shame.

That is a shame. When it was announced I didn't think it was something I'd enjoy - but it was a really good watch.

I bet they go and renew Fletch & Sav for next season though, don't they?

Thank god they have cancelled that Baker and kelly show

Certainly going about the right way to improving the standard of the channel

I think Fletch and Sav is all but confirmed to be returning. Makes sense really as it's not a bad morning preview show.

I am disappointed by the scaling back of a lot of the magazine shows since BT first launched though. Life's A Pitch went from 4 nights a week down to once, then none. It's in effect 'replacement', Follow the Football, ended up following suit into the BT bin. Now I'm well aware ratings would be miniscule for all shows mentioned but it's hardly like any other BT shows are performing well - only the big live Rugby and PL matches. Even Moto GP Tonight has been replaced by a cheaper trackside review show.

VSPO I thought had the advantage of being cheap to produce and the majority of the content would be down to the two hosts but even that's going. It really was unlike any other football show; the hosts actually found stuff out from their ex pro!

Darren Fletcher did Tweet that they would be back at the start of next season, I don't see any reason why after just one season they would axe it, after next season it may be a different storey.

Perfectly fine. The only protected window is from 3pm to 5pm on a Saturday during the regular season and is there for the benefit of lower league clubs rather than Premier League clubs in any event who aren't in action this Saturday (season over).

The blackout is still in force in Scotland, however. So strictly speaking the SFA can complain to the DFB who in turn will be obliged to take some kind of action against BT.

I started the season watching soccer am but have now switched to fletch n sav - it actually feels like a grown up version of soccer am which feels tired and a bit moronic - this despite having Michael Owen on it - I think owen is best suited to studio punditry than co comms - small doses

In your opinion...

Anyway, to add there's also Paderborn v Stuttgart on Extra.

There are three Scottish Premiership games at 3pm on Saturday; one wonders how BT have got around this.

The blackout protects attendances at all games kicking off at 3pm (which includes the Premier League) and also exists to protect the game at participation level - and to be pedantic it runs from 2.45pm - 5.15pm
