Not anymore

BT Sport has confirmed as the new broadcast partner for the Anglo-Welsh Cup from the 2016/17 season onwards.

Back after a one-year absence due to the Rugby World Cup, the competition makes its return to the domestic rugby calendar, with BT committing to double the amount of live TV coverage than previous rights holder Sky Sports, with at least two live games per round.

A couple of updates on BT Sport 3:

* The logo colour on the '3' is blue if you are wondering, weirdly I thought it was going to be green but no it's blue. I can't find an image online of the logo but there is an image in the What's On TV magazine for this week.

* It's first live coverage is the UEFA Champions League/Europa League play-off draws at 11am/12pm so it looks there will still be live CL/EL coverage on the third channel.

I really hope they're not going to 'do a Sky' and show the "prime" game on BTS3 with the 2nd pick on BTS2.
It was stupid how Sky did it with SS4 and SS2, then becoming SS5 and SS1.
Don't complicate things, make it simple.....

On the bt sport Europe news channel they are saying that bt have renewed there contract for ufc in the uk and Ireland. They will be showing upto 150 hours of live action per year.

That is all that it says, away to have a look for more info, ie 3 or 5 year contract etc.

It's a two and a half year deal - up until the end of 2018.

Can't complain with the UFC deal. They've added more coverage and look to advertise it better. Good deal IMO.

Good news it stays on BT. Would have been dissapointing if Sky got it and made the fights PPV over here.

Total speculation. No-one would have known whether they would have gone that route or not.

Which is why the post you quoted says "if" it happened?

Just a thought.
Next week West Ham at home in Europa League?
Olympic Stadium?
Have BT, based in the former Olympic Broadcast Centre (?), covered a match 'next door' ? Football or Rugby?

Assuming they shows what would be West Hams first competitive game at the Stadium.

Wonder if that will be FTA via Showvase

What sort of crowd will West Ham get? It sort of undermines Sky's decision to show West Ham v Bournemouth. Should West Ham score next week will Sky pretend that it didn't happen and try to big up the chance for a West Ham player to score against Bournemouth and be the first to score at the Olympic Stadium?

Yes and wasn't the match against Juventus supposed to be the first match at the Olympic Stadium.

Would be great if they started in the studio and ended up in the ground, wouldn't it, just for the weirdness factor?

There is nothing complicated about it. Go to whatever channel that is showing the game you want. If that's complicated then you have problems.
