Looks like BT has updated the DOG logo has changed for the Live football.

Less colour used in the BT sport 1 Live Logo.

Seems like they listened.

Yes, but still solid coloured and still has some colour in it, for no reason other than to avoid them appearing to have given in.
The BT SPORT//ESPN HD logo goes red when its showing something live..... WHY?!?!?!!??

It's hardly the end of the world though.

There was no colour in the BT Sport 1 logo during the football earlier that I can remember seeing. If there was, I didn't even notice it.

I know it isn't the end of the world and it is a vast improvement on the last 3 years, but why the need to have colour in the logo's at all when showing something live?
Thats the part i don't understand.
And why i am of firm belief that they're keeping the little blobs of colour because they can't be seen to admit they were wrong and its what most people have complained about with regard to BT graphics and so forth!

And the BT Sport 1, 2 & 3 channels when live will have a Red (1) orange/Yellow (2) and Blue (3) blob over the number of the channel and the text part (BT SPORT + LIVE) is a solid white instead of remaining as the logo's appear when non-live

"... In the last couple of weeks I’ve heard from the lips of the acting general secretary that they are very happy,” he [John Petter, head of BT’s consumer division] said."

"He suggested BT’s decision to provide a free live stream of the Champions League final on YouTube had helped boost its overall audience and reassure sponsors."

I will be very surprised if BT don't hold on to these rights.

I think it would be utter madness from Sky to go way over the top like they did for the Prem rights.

I think the best Sky would do is give it a decent go but hope by showing an interest they will force BT to bid silly and way over the top.

These right's will go for a huge sum of money i bet.

New graphics for BT on the Scottish football. More rectangular, less rounded edges, mostly black and white. Also sound effects on name bars (if that's what they're called). They look pretty nice so far.

Interesting the article claims the European football would be worth £500m a year to Sky so 50% more than BT's already silly £330m or so a year.

I can see why Spain and Italy in particular would be desperate for more money and a bigger share out for the marque clubs to get some of that especially as their own TV markets don't seem interested in paying anywhere near that.

I am though surprised in Italy with Sky Italia rights haven't been pushed up so high. Can understand it not happening in Germany which still has a culture of sport on free tv.

The BT Sport DOG has lost its black background for the live Scottish Premiership match. New graphics as well - very square and very flat.

Presumably this will be rolled out for all football.

Yes I'm liking the new look Logos. I prefer a but of colour to the horrible clear dogs. What makes me laugh though is why they go faint during non live events why not keep the colours all the time or I'm sure some would prefer the clear dogs all the time. I think they look good Now with the colour but not as big as before

See i think they look like something someone did in PAINT.NET in 15 minutes.
They look pretty bad whereas the previous graphics set looked good, it had some attention-to-detail and like someone had put alot of work into it.

I said this the other day on this very thread.
I don't get BT's obsession with having colour in the logo when live! Its daft

Where as I would totally disagree with this. In my opinion the previous football graphics & live DOG had a very 1990's feel to them. Where as the new graphics have a much more modern, minimalistic feel.

Plus I don't see why you seem to feel that the only reason that BT have used colour coding for the live DOG(s) is "because they can't be seen to admit they were wrong". How can they be wrong, it's their channel!

Also your arguement that the onscreen live DOG(s) are what "most people have complained about with regard to BT graphics". On forums and on twitter you may have a point, but if we are 100% honest, those of us who go on to forums and/or twitter and give opinions are the 'vocal minority'. The truth is that something like 98 people in a hundred just won't care (about onscreen graphics) in the slightest.

Like the new graphics on BT - looks less like a sports version of CBBC now, which is a step in the right direction.

Of course, there is still no need to have the scoreboard on the bottom of the screen - maybe in 2020, they'll finally see sense.

On my television on the left hand side on the bottom they need to shorten the clock team score team to 17 cm it is currently 19 and a half cm it is to long

Also on my television on the right hand side on the bottom they need to to make they writing of BT Sport 2HD Live to be the same as the word Live why do the have to make the words BT Sport in like a bold type writing and also square the orange around 2HD like on the left bottom of the tv screen

Amazing, cm mean so much when a game of football is on.

How many times do you need to be told that the size is different depending on the size of the TV.

Agree with this.

For me, the new BT graphics are spot on. Can't fault them and they're much nicer than the previous set.

In terms of placement and size, they're fine!!!

They left is longer that the right

And for example if someone at BT typed 19 for length at BT , next time they need to type 17 for length and that way it will be shorter
